The city Environmental Board has proposed such a letter, urging a ban or regulatory action against the natural-gas carrier discouraging its trucks from driving on local roads. In their 144-mile route between the fracking fields of Northeastern Pennsylvania and Little Falls, XNG trucks travel through the city for about 500 feet. SMOKING BANNED: Despite outcry on social media, no petitionoers spoke at the public hearing on the proposed ban on smoking in Oneonta city parks. Mayor Gary Herzig has indicated he will sign the ban into law.
