hough the Presidential race still threatened to drag on long into the night, by 10:30 p.m. it was all over at the Red
Caboose, where Otsego County Democrats had gathered Election Night to watch the returns. “The mood was high until then,” said restaurateur Tim Masterjohn. “All the usual suspects were here, the place was packed.”

he FBI contacted the Oneonta Police Department the weekend before Election Day after threatening posts were made on Facebook by a man with an Oneonta address. “The posts were saying how we need to protect our Second Amendment rights, how guns weren’t just for hunting animals, that sort of thing,” said Lt. Douglas Brenner. The man who posted the threat’s last known address was in Oneonta, but nothing materialized, Brenner said.
