Bassett CEO Restructures Organization

D

r. Vance Brown has announced a restructuring intended to achieve “optimal alignment” in the management of the eight-county Bassett Healthcare Network and of Cooperstown-based Bassett Hospital. Under the new arrangement, Brown will remain CEO, and is handing off the responsibilities of Bassett Hospital president. Appointed deputy president, Dr. William LeCates will “manage the transition.” There will likely be a nationwide search for a new president, and LeCates could be considered for the top job/DETAILS, A7 FIRE ELECTION: Candidates are being sought for the Town of Oneonta fire district, one five-year term that begins on Jan. 1, 2018 and ends on Dec. 31, 2022, and one two-year term that begins Jan. 1, 2018, through Dec. 31, 2019. Successful candidates may help resolve the stymied fire contract with the city.
