Irritated Client Arrested In Tiff At Donut Shop ONEONTA

hree teenagers were arrested after a 16-year-old female allegedly attacked a Dunkin’ Donuts employee, starting a fight at the store on Chestnut Street. On April 9, state police were dispatched to the Dunkin’ Donuts after a 16year-old girl allegedly struck an employee and broke items in the store after allegedly being unhappy with an order placed at the drive-thru. When another customer took a picture of the license plate, the 16-year-old and a 17-year-old female allegedly hit the customer. Details/

I

n the midst of its battle against the heroin epidemic, Otsego County has joined almost every Upstate county in filing a lawsuit against Big Pharma, blamed for manufacturing gateway opioids. “There are about 60 counties in the state that are preparing litigation against these large pharmaceutical companies,” said county Rep. Ed Frazier, R-Unadilla. “It seems to be very similar to the lawsuit against the large tobacco companies a while back.” At its April 4 meeting, the county Board of Representatives unanimously passed a resolution to file the lawsuit, which will argue the pharmaceutical companies that manufacture prescription opioids lied about their addictive nature. “It’s not quite a class action yet,” said Please See PHARMA, A7
