New Docks Put In Place At Lakefront COOPERSTOWN
T
he new $120,000 floating docks were installed at Lakefront Park last week, and over the weekend renters boats began to fill up the slips. The project had been contemplated since 2011, when floods damaged the fixed docks and boats attached to them, according to Village Trustee Ellen Tillapaugh, who chairs the Park Committee. The 10-foot slips are larger and better able to accommodate larger craft. Rents were raised $50 to $500 for residents and $1,000 for non-residents, “still the best on the lake,” Tillapaugh said.
