s Fran Hazelton stitches her replica Civil War quilts, her mind often wanders to the 150 soldiers who served from Richfield Springs. “I wonder if any of them got a quilt from the Soldiers’ Aid Society,� she said. Hazelton and her sister, Lisa Ellsworth of Geneva, discovered Civil War quilting in 2006 in Barbara Brackman’s “Quilts from The Civil War.� “The book got me going,� Fran said.
