Malatras hurried to the campus
after 107 COVID-19 cases broke out overnight, following a “super spreader” party the weekend before when students returned to campus. Infections would reach 749. Along the way, SUNY Oneonta’s president of two years, Barbara Jean Morris, resigned, succeeded by Interim President Dennis Craig, who had successfully quelled the virus at SUNY Purchase.
