In August 2014,HatoHone StJohnand PowerNet joined forceswith asharedgoalofcombiningourresources to helpimprovethehealthandsafetyoutcomesof communitiesinthe PowerNetmanagednetworksin Southland,Queenstown-Lakes,m ostofOtagoand Stewar tIsland.

Sincethepartnerships tarted–53,830cleverlifesav ers havebeentrainedininjurypreventionandem ergency readinessthroughASBStJohninSchools.Therewere 1,480SouthlanderstrainedinFirst Aid,and17publicly accessibleAEDswereplacedinthecommunity.Oneof thedonatedAEDswasused to help save awoman’slife PowerNetalsosupportedtheHatoHoneStJohnInvercargill TrainingHub,whichholds7–15courseseachmonth. Furthermore,theyhavealsodonatedfourvehiclecharging stationsforSt JohnHealthShuttleswithinSouthland.
