DASHARA&DIWALIWITHKINDNESS

DearALLYMembers, Season’sGreetingstoyouall.

As October arrives, the twin lights of Dashara and Diwali illuminate our lives with joy, tradition, and hope.

Dashara, or Vijayadashami, is a celebration of good triumphing over evil and an occasion for inner renewal. Across India, it’s marked by vibrant rituals and community gatherings that remind us of the strength in unity and the enduring power of righteousness.

Shortly thereafter, Diwali—the Festival of Lights—enchants us with its message of hope, prosperity, and compassion. Families decorate their homes, share sweets, and come together in prayer, igniting a collective spirit of warmth and generosity. Diwali encourages us to dispel darkness in all forms, not just in our surroundings, but in society as well.

In the true spirit of these festivals, let every Alliance Member embrace the opportunity to create positive change in our communities.

This festive season, consider organizing impactful service initiatives such as:

- Donating clothing, blankets, or food to children, elders, and families in need.

- Hosting educational support drives, providing books and stationery to underprivileged students.

- Volunteering for community clean-up events or tree plantation drives to beautify local spaces.

- Arranging health check-ups, wellness camps, or hot meal distributions for the vulnerable.

- Building or donating mobility aids, like wheelchairs, to support people with disabilities.

- Organizing Diwali lighting or rangoli competitions at orphanages and senior homes, bringing festival joy to those who need it most.

By transforming festive cheer into meaningful action, we can light up countless lives beyond our own. Every act of service, however small, sows seeds of hope and kindness echoing the central values of Dashara and Diwali.

et’s pledge, as an Alliance family, to go beyond celebration and become beacons of service and compassion. Through committed community engagement, we bring alive the true meaning of our festivals and make a real difference.
