The Alliance Française is a language and cultural relations organization. It was created in 1883 in Paris by renowned humanists, including Louis Pasteur and Jules Verne, with the principal objective of promoting and teaching the French language around the world. Since then, it has developed into a global network of the Alliance Française institutions operating in 135 countries around the world, with the common aim of fostering friendship between peoples, through the promotion of the French language and cultural diversity. The Alliance Française de Nairobi was founded in 1949. It has grown into one of the largest in Africa offering French language courses to thousands of students annually. It is the only accredited institution in Kenya for international and professional French language certification. It is also the only officially recognized institution in Kenya for certified translations. The institution offers a rich program of annual activities showcasing local and international Arts and encouraging creativity. There are currently 1016 Alliance Française institutions established in 135 countries, spread over 5 continents, Alliance Française is the world’s leading cultural network. Each year, more than 3000 students choose to learn French with Alliance Française of Nairobi. Our clients also include multinationals, international organizations and diplomatic missions for tailor-made French language classes.

services offered Exams All our training programs are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for languages and prepare the learners for official exams; DELF/DALF (General French Diploma) awarded by French Ministry of Education or DFP (Business French Diploma) awarded by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.

It is also a leader in reliable onsite interpretation services in diverse fields including business, legal, medical, educational or conference.
Studio services Subtitling & Voice Over The Alliance Franรงaise de Nairobi has developed a specialized multimedia translations service for accurate and cost-effective translation and interpretation services in English and French. In addition, a fully equipped recording studio is available for translation, localization and post production of institutional content (dubbing, subtitling, voiceovers).
