“To conquer the challenge is to create belief in one self.”

Everyday we are faced with challenges; in our workplace, in our family life, in our financial situation, in relationships, in daily living... Unfortunately very few people have the know how as to handle it when the challenge on our path becomes too much.

This is mainly due to the way we are brought up by a careful civilization. We are being protected against the dangers of our surroundings from our infant stages and this pattern continues through our toddler stages well into our adult lives. Just think about when your two year old wants to hold a glass drinking from it; our first reaction is: ”Be careful, it may break and you will get hurt”, on a bicycle taking off with: “Be careful, you will get hurt if you fall”.

The problem with this is that when we follow these patterns with our children, we encourage them to be over cautious, we let them believe that they do not have the ability to try and succeed. By being too careful we could damage our children’s self esteem en make them doubt their own abilities and make them scared for challenges that are safe to experience within the boundaries of a safety net.

We as parents and educators will have to allow our children to climb trees, shoot bow and arrow, climb over rocks and into gorges. Let them jump into a pool of water in a mountain stream and let them explore their abilities and learn what they are capable of.

Side effects when we are being over protective parents: - Lack of self-confidence - Parents have an illusion of control - Greater risk taking than necessary in their teenage years - Total loss of control - Bad self esteem (read more on these points @ livestrong.com In recent weeks Milla (my 7 year old) became the youngest person to climb the high rope course at Warriors in Magoebaskloof (when she did not see me I made sure that the 3 ton cable and karabiners were securely latched and asked about 20 times that they re-check it before she started climbing).

She decided her self she was going to conquer this height and told all of us she can do it. For a moment at the top she did hesitate and then looked up at her surroundings and shouted in total amazement to us that it is absolutely breathtaking from the top! She slid down on the cable to the ground and was the conqueror of her own fears. She stood proud and has ticked it off her box of things that she will never fear again.

May this skill of going on and going forward and face her challenges, aid her in her future quests.

Raak betrokke in ‘n gesprek wat handel oor skoolkampe en baie vinnig sal elkeen sy beste kampervaring uitlig as die beste in die wêreld! Dit is hoe ons gevorm word, dit is deel van ons grondslag en so ‘n skoolkamp maak so duidelike 'n afdruk in ons lewe dat dit ‘n baken sal bly vir altyd.

Een so kamp wat baie duidelik gefokus is om die ervaring by hul terrein te vervleg met die karakterbou van ons jeug, is ATKVDrakensville. Behalwe dat die programme en aktiwiteite wat hier aangebied word van die hoogste standaard is, word dit binne die sprokiesmooi en Wêrelderfenisgebied gedoen.

As September is our month of Heritage we Celebrate the 11 Official Languages of South Africa Languages South Africa has 11 official languages, but there are vast differences in language distribution and the numbers of those who speak a particular language at home. Although English is the lingua franca of the country, there is considerable variation in languages between the provinces.

Language distribution in South Africa Except for Gauteng and Mpumalanga, each province is dominated by a single language, spoken by more than half the population. In the Eastern Cape it’s isiXhosa, spoken by 83.4% of the population; in KwaZulu-

Natal it’s isiZulu, the language of 80.9% of the people. Afrikaans dominates in the Northern and Western Cape (respectively 68% and 55.3% of the provincial population), while Sesotho is most common in the Free State (64.4%) and Limpopo (52.1%) and Setswana in North West (65.4%).

Gauteng and Mpumalanga are more linguistically heterogenous, with no single language dominating. isiZulu IsiZulu is the most common language in South Africa, spoken by nearly 23% of the total population. But it’s a regional language, with 71.8% of its speakers to be found in KwaZulu-Natal, where it is the language of 80.9% of the provincial population. Over 18% of isiZulu speakers are to be found in Gauteng, the second province in which it is in the majority, with its speakers making up 21.5% of the provincial population. The third province in which the language is the largest is Mpumalanga, where it is spoken by more than a quarter of the population, who make up 7.6% of all South African isiZulu speakers. The presence of the language in the remaining six provinces is negligible. isiXhosa South Africa’s second most common language is isiXhosa, a language similar to isiZulu and spoken by 17.6% of all South Africans. It too is regional, with a third of its speakers living in the Eastern Cape, where it is the language of 83.4% of the provincial population. It’s also strong in the bordering Western Cape, where 13.6% of all isiXhosa speakers live, making up nearly a quarter of the provincial population. There are a fair number of isiXhosa speakers in the Free State, North West and Gauteng (respectively 9.1%, 5.8% and 7% of the provincial population), but it is not widely spoken in the other provinces.

Afrikaans In third place is Afrikaans, spoken by 13.3% of the total population - mainly coloured and white South Africans. Most Afrikaans speakers (41.8%) live in the Western Cape, where it is the language of more than half of the provincial population. It’s also common in Gauteng, where 20.9% of Afrikaans speakers live, making up 14.4% of the population. Although only 9.5% of Afrikaans speakers live in the Northern Cape, it’s the dominant language there, spoken by 68% of the provincial population. Afrikaans is also spoken by 9.3% of the people of the Eastern Cape, 11.9% of the Free State’s population, and 7.5% of the people of North West.

Sepedi Sepedi, the fourth most common language in South Africa, is the language of Limpopo, where it’s spoken by 54.8% of the provincial population - 65.1% of all Sepedi speakers. It’s also found in Gauteng, where nearly a quarter (24.3%) of Sepedi speakers are to be found, making up 11.2% of the population. In Mpumalanga 10.2% of the population speak Sepedi, or 8.1% of all Sepedi speakers.

English While English is spoken to some degree by many South Africans, as a home language it is most common in KwaZulu-Natal, where over a third (34.9%) of all English-speaking South Africans are found, making up 13.6% of the provincial population. Another third (30%) of English speakers live in Gauteng, where it is the language of 12.5% of the population, and 23.8% in the Western Cape, where it is spoken by 19.3% of the population.

Setswana Setswana is largely found in North West, a province bordering the country of Botswana, where the language dominates. It is spoken by 65.4% of all North West residents, or 56.2% of all Setswana-speaking South Africans. Setswana is also found in the Northern Cape, where it is spoken by 33.7% of the population, in Gauteng (9.9%) and the Free State (6.8%) Sesotho Sesotho is the language of the Free State, which borders the kingdom of Lesotho. It is spoken by 64.4% of the Free State population, or 49% of all Sesotho-speaking South Africans. Sesotho is also found in Gauteng, where it is spoken by 13.1% of the population - a third (32.4%) of all Sesotho-speaking South Africans - and in North West, where it is spoken by 6.8% of the population. isiNdebele, siSwati, Tshivenda and Xitsonga South Africa’s minority official languages are isiNdebele, siSwati, Tshivenda and Xitsonga.

IsiNdebele, spoken by 1.6% of South Africa’s population, is largely found in Mpumalanga, where 48.6% of its speakers are found, or 12.1% of the provincial population. Almost a third of isiNdebele speakers reside in Gauteng, but make up only 2.3% of the province's population.

SiSwati is the language of the Swazi people, spoken by 2.7% of South Africans. The vast majority (83%) of siSwati speakers are found in the province of Mpumalanga - on the border of Swaziland - where they are the majority linguistic group, making up 30.8% of the provincial population. Nearly 11% of siSwati speakers are found in Gauteng, where they make up only 1.4% of the population.

Tshivenda is spoken by 2.3% of South Africans, mainly in the province of Limpopo, where 82% of Tshivenda speakers live, or 15.9% of the provincial population. Another 15.7% of Tshivenda speakers live in Gauteng, where they make up 1.7% of the population.

Xitsonga, spoken by 4.4% of the national population, is found in Limpopo (45% of Xitsonga speakers and 22.4% of the provincial population), Gauteng (28.6% of speakers and 6.2% of the population) and Mpumalanga (19.7% and 11.6%).

We also run a gap year program for school leavers and now more recently have introduced an Outdoor Pursuits Multi Activity Instructors Development Program.

We offer a selection of adventure, personal growth and leadership options to school and youth groups both from South Africa and abroad, that have stood the test of time and ensure that each and every child in the program has an experience of a lifetime.

Our program is designed to develop young people through a series of practical and innovative methods. We make it our mission not to run the same programme that our patrons have had on previous camps, but rather to have a fresh combination of activities designed to really challenge the participants.

Having Fun is a key ingredient found in all our activities and everyone is encouraged to engage fully throughout the course.

We have a large dedicated staff and an intensive program guaranteed to keep our visitors busy from the moment they arrive.

Our course themes are a combination of physical, mental and emotional activities designed to focus on key components of personal and leadership development. We collaborate with our clients, tailoring the course to suit their individual preferences and time frames.

We can accommodate groups from twenty to one hundred and twenty in our new tent Village, giving participants an exciting camping experience. Here they will be able to bond with fellow participants under the supervision of a highly motivated and dedicated staff. The program focuses on personal growth through adventure and challenge, and we employ an innovative approach to the delivery thereof.

We also have an “Every child matters� philosophy so we ensure that each and every child in the program is catered for in all aspects of the program.

This will vary depending on each schools’ individual choices. A typical WYLD course will be five days and four nights.

We provide young people with the edge on a future with promise and potential and we equip young people with skills that stand out on applications to universities and in the eyes of potential employers.

We know that competencies such as an understanding of EQ skills, time, stress and conflict management , leadership, and now more recently ”followship”, team work and collaborative problem solving and creativity will become increasingly important in a global economy.

Coupled with an acute personal, environmental and social awareness, young graduates have to be carefully prepared to enter the job market with skills and competencies not always fully provided by even the best schools. To address this we have designed a range of programs that enhance and enrich existing areas of personal development and produce ‘stand out global citizens’ complementing modern parenting needs - We are passionate about equipping young men and women with the skills and life experiences they need to succeed at university, in a career and in life and to create the environment for personal and professional growth.

The Warriors program is distilled into 5 pillars which are integrated and delivered in 4 quests of seven weeks each. Each quest has a flagship adventure activity complemented with a rich and varied assortment of diverse activities. These are available over different time periods during the year to cater for increasing requests from schools, youth institutions and parents. Each is showcased on our website.

Although we recommend full year participation, each quest with its unique features, make it possible for a student to join in at any time of the year and participate in a range of experiences that are designed around the 5 pillars: • Core Skills (EQ fitness) – strengthening the inner being.

The Warriors Seasonal Quest Programs are designed for young adults who are looking for real direction, change and purpose. The foundation of the Programs is to support the transition of entering adulthood. Being completely different from the typical well-worn commercial gap-years, Warriors has had remarkable results and success for over a decade. Past Parents and Warriors become one big family, and all their references about their amazing experiences speak for themselves.

After the successful year on the Warriors gap year program participants may apply for the Multi Activity Instructor Development Program.

This is a selected portfolio of outdoor pursuit skills designed to fully equip a graduate with the required to enter employment in the adventure industry. With this training our graduates will have the qualification, skills and experience needed to get a jumpstart in the adventure guiding industry.

This is a two-year Program starting in the Warriors Gap year program with the Second year focusing more on instructor traits.

There is a growing need in South Africa to not only train outdoor pursuits instructors, but to do so at a standard comparable with the international arena.

The Klein-Kariba Leadership Centre is the ATKV's top destination for educational courses and can house up to 200 learners in a variety of accommodation units depending on availability. Klein-Kariba also have wooden chalets surrounding the dam on the resort, fully furnished 'tent houses' and the 'Tekkie Camp' which consists of nine furnished tent houses that accommodates 12 people each, for affordable group accommodation.

Klein-Kariba's Adventure programme has become a favourite among school groups, and includes numerous group activities and games like box car racing, abseiling, archery, hiking trails, raft building, paint ball and air rifle shooting, swimming, obstacle courses, night marches, a kayak challenge, map reading and many more.

The Nature programme is all about the identification of animal and insect species, animal track identification, and plant identification. The programme also provides social entertainment in the form of nature-related challenges that learners have to complete.

The Leadership programme helps identify potential leaders through a series of challenges, team games and organised entertainment activities. The programme is designed in such a way that it stimulates leadership qualities in pupils.

The Bonding programme helps pupils get to know and bond with each other by encouraging interactive participation in a range of different activities.

Investment in the youth has always been a top priority for the ATKV, that is why we3 are so active in this regard. Klein-Kariba already has over 40 returning schools every year and this number keeps growing.

The origins of Em’seni came from the need to create a home base for Scripture Union Independent Schools camping and the site operates as their home base. FACILITIES Em'seni offers about 130 beds, in combinations of up to 8 in a room. Quality ablutions adjoin the bedrooms. A large dining room and separate conference hall with smaller alcoves and meeting rooms allows for ample meeting space for 150 people. A modern industrial kitchen is fully equipped and food standards are high. Em'seni does not allow groups to self-cater, but instead its competent staff satisfy the physical needs while programme leaders can focus on intellectual, spiritual and other needs. On site there is a swimming pool and spectacular Tugela River frontage, which offer many water opportunities including a “bum slide” and kayaking. A large field, and volleyball courts allows for any number of games and other fun activities. Lovely river walks and access to the Spioenkop Game reserve and dam nearby increase options for activities. Em'seni is a birders paradise. The historical Spioenkop Mountain towers nearby and offers a glimpse into the Anglo-Boer war.

Many schools use us as a base for touring the KZN Battlefields, with qualified guides available.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT – the EM’SENI CENTRE FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Our passion is for youth development and Rev. Kevin Robertson heads up our Centre for Youth Development. After 25 years in high schools including 19 years as Chaplain at Hilton College, Kevin is an ideal person to assist your school leadership programme. Em'seni is not a simple “adventure centre” but seeks to use both outdoor activities and indoor workshops to explore many facets of “becoming the leader you are” Kevin does not just offer a standardised programme but works closely with schools to meet their specific needs. Regular schools include Hilton College, Michaelhouse, The Wykeham Collegiate, St Johns College, Ladysmith High, St Nicholas and St Charles College.

Em’seni Centre for Youth Development is continually developing a diverse range of modules that involve theoretical and experiential components. These can be adapted to the needs of its clients as a programme is designed. There are two main types of module best described as:  Challenge and Adventure Activities: These provide the opportunity for participants to push past their comfort zones (physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually) and to enter a region of unknown outcome, which some refer to as the “growth zone”. Students are given the opportunity to experience, reflect, internalise and share what they have learned.  Simulation Games and Experiential Activities: These simulate or mimic the characteristics of real-life situations and allow students to review their experiences in a manner that deepens individual understanding and develops individual skill competencies. This equips them to learn how to respond to similar situations in the future in new ways.

SOA LEADERSHIP YEAR The Spirit of Adventure Leadership year differs from most others in that it is a working year.

It consists of three main parts, namely working as an instructor, participating in adventurous excursions and committing to a study program for the year.

Instructing We need young people just out of school to work as instructors with the school groups who attend the camp. The instructors are responsible for leading groups of about 10-12 people through adventurous activities and facilitating their learning and development throughout. We train the instructors in all aspects of the work so that they are competent and confident to maintain the extremely high standard of safety and quality we expect. They are then responsible for carrying out their duties and if done correctly, they have real daily opportunities to make a lasting difference in each individual’s life. Probably the best reason for taking our specific gap year would be the personal and skills development which occurs through the work and contact with persons of a variety of ages. This development will be invaluable throughout a person’s life. Instructors sign an employment contract, as required by law and are paid per day for working with groups. Accommodation and food is provided when working and studying.

Excursions We facilitate a number of adventure trips each year and we encourage each instructor to attend as many as their finances will allow. Currently these include paragliding, advanced rock climbing, scuba diving, Big 5 hiking and camping trips.

These are perhaps a luxury but we have selected experiences and refined them over the years so that they will be meaningful and not just a “temporary high”. Most people will never get another chance to do a lot of what we offer and we are also able to offer slightly better prices because of group size and regular bookings etc.

Study We expect each instructor to engage in some sort of study program each year. It is there for a number of very good reasons such as making better/more informed decisions about a full study path, gaining more insight into career choices, ruling out potential career choices etc etc. There is a vast selection of distance learning institutions, courses and subjects out there to choose from.

Sometimes just the quiet and distance from the home and city allows minds to think a little more clearly and see a bigger picture.

The development of each of the instructors is of as much importance as the development of the school learners and we do our best to help and encourage each instructor to grow and make sound decisions from the year.

The Spirit of Adventure Magaliesberg is located next to the Olifantsnek dam looking onto the picturesque Retief’s Kloof. There is accommodation for up to 144 students in 12 sleeper cabins and 12 staff members in comfortable wooden cabins.

Last month we discussed the delicate balance of communication, with listening being extremely important in reaching understanding and therefore effectively communicating. Listening involves far more than just the physical sense of hearing; it is taking what has been heard and making sense of it. Each of us is already wired with ‘filters’ that have come from our upbringing, our past experiences and our own selfimage as well as our intellectual ability and education.

There are so many different things that cause us to interpret the information we are receiving in different ways.

In the camp environment, you are faced with campers from different cultures and backgrounds each interpreting what you as a camp counsellor has to say from their perspective. Campers are often being faced with new challenges. For example simple things like sleeping in a dorm room with ten other campers or having to share ablutions to the more strenuous team building challenges and other ‘extreme’ activities like rock climbing. So how do we as camp counsellors ensure that campers feel at ease and are open to growth during their camping experience? We love them! It is integral that campers feel cared for and supported. Unless they feel that the camp counsellors have genuine regard for them and interest in their wellbeing they will feel anxious and even afraid, causing them to be withdrawn and therefore not enter to their full potential and enjoy the growing experience that an outdoor classroom allows.

This concern needs to be clear to the campers in the way we communicate with them. We start with listening well as was discussed last month. Be open and willing to give a high five or fist pound in greeting and to celebrate a task well done. Give clear instructions and make sure the campers know exactly what is expected of them. As camp counsellors we need to role model effective speaking and listening. Meet the campers where they are at; make them believe that you are on their side and that you believe they are capable. Do not give them

unattainable tasks; our job is to build up and encourage.

This may take campers close to breaking point but must never take them past it. Too often I hear young people discussing their camp experiences from other camps in a negative way, how they hated a certain challenge or that the instructors love to make people cry!! This is not building young people! Yes, you want to stretch them and grow them but pushing them to a point where they feel they have failed is not encouraging or building, it is detrimental to their personal growth.

True communication is when there is a mutual trust and love between the two parties; when both are willing to lower their barriers or ‘filters’ to allow the other in. As camp counsellors we must get this right if we want to see young people growing at our camps.

We had a group of primary school girls at our camp for a weekend. We had loads of fun and did many team building challenges and activities. When it was time for bed we allowed the Grade 6 and 7 girls to stay behind around the camp fire for a question and answer time with us. What an amazing and blessed time. The girls opened up and shared great anxieties and frustrations, they prayed together and encouraged one another and were willing to receive our counsel. One young girl was the victim of a violent home invasion; she had not been willing to talk to anyone about her trauma. But that evening around the fire she felt free to share her story and let out her grief and anger and even expressed her need to forgive her attackers. Why? Because we had shown her from the time she stepped off the bus that she was in a safe place, a place she was wanted, a place she was loved!

Higher Ground has been running programmes of therapeutic recreation (adventure camps) for people with disabilities since 2004. We are an NPO and are based in Durban. Our programmes are run at various venues within an hour or two of Durban, and occasionally in the Western Cape and Gauteng. We are passionate about running our 'camps' and feel that the benefits offered to

As a result they also gain great experience working with people who have disabilities, which we believe is beneficial to their own communities and spheres of influence.

Nature Education at Camp Camp programs are among the very best ways for children to obtain a lifelong interest in caring for the earth. The “camp experience” in general promotes an important appreciation for nature, but there are ways to take nature education at camp a step further. A step that goes beyond camping in the wilderness, outdoor activities, and technology-free holidays.

Sugar Bay Holiday Camp highlights some of the additional ways in which they educate children about nature during their time at camp. Sugar Bay is a camp which is passionate about nature education, and where environmental preservation is a priority. As such, they have sought to take this extra step by integrating nature education into the camp experience in some of the following ways: Interactive Shark Presentation On the itinerary of many school tours, is the much anticipated “Shark Talk” delivered by one of the camp directors, Zoe Ellender. Ellender is very passionate about these marine species, which is evident in this gripping presentation.

The purpose of this interactive workshop about sharks is to teach children that sharks really aren’t the “monsters” that they are perceived to be. Rather, Ellender wants children to learn that sharks are indeed beautiful creatures which are threatened by extinction. A claim which she supports with statistics, and anecdotes about her personal experiences in free diving with sharks.

The lesson begins with an engaging game.

Ellender reads out various causes of death, and asks the children to guess how many people they think die from these causes each year. Some examples include car accidents, dog bites, falling off a horse and shark attacks etc. With each guess, she places the estimated figure given by the children on a number line for the children to see, and she then reveals the accurate (and often surprising) statistic.

To the children's astonishment, it is revealed that only one person dies from a shark attack each year, compared to the one hundred million sharks which are killed by humans every year.

While coming to terms with this horrifying statistic, Ellender explains with the aid of short, informative videos how and why sharks are killed. She also offers the learners reasons why sharks shouldn't be killed, and what the children can do to make a difference.

Environmental Conservation, Litter and Recycling Program The Environmental Conservation Program at Sugar Bay begins by taking campers on what is called an “Explore Walk”. During this activity, campers explore the beach, and are encouraged to enjoy the different elements of the coastal environment. While walking, campers are taught lessons on various topics such as the indigenous shores, marine life and adaptations, waves and currents and ocean conservation.

This walk is also used as an opportunity to run the Litter and Recycling Program, in which every camper is given a bag to fill with the litter they come across during their walk along the beach. Rewards in the form of camp privileges are given to campers for every one hundred pieces of litter picked up. This program aims to provide an eyeopening first hand experience into the extent of pollution on our shores, and to get kids to take the responsibility in participating in the clean up - a first step towards effective environmental conservation.

Farming and Environmental Education Tours As part of their Farming and Environmental Education tours, Sugar Bay invites expert guest speakers to address the campers in the form of a mini-conference.

One of the most popular guest speakers is Kingsley Holgate, a South African explorer, humanitarian and author who resides in the local area. Kingsley is never shy to share his adventure travel experiences with the kids, and he educates them on how to use adventure to improve and save lives. He teaches the kids about the significance of wildlife conservation, malaria prevention, water purification and overall, how to make a positive difference in peoples’ lives.

Besides camp being a great escape from technology, an adventure in the wilderness and s'mores at the campfire; camp is also one of the best ways to educate future generations about the environment while having fun. This just proves that there certainly is no limit to learning at camp.

Situated within the beautiful 1,000 hectare Umhloti Nature Reserve, 15 kilometres outside Nelspruit, the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) South Africa Chimpanzee Sanctuary is home to chimps that have been misplaced from their natural habitats in Africa.

Chimp Eden was established in 2006 and is home to 33 chimpanzees. This JGI chimpanzee sanctuary brings the world of chimpanzees closer to humanity through education end eco-tourism.

The goal of the chimpanzee sanctuary is to rescue chimpanzees that have survived the bush meat trade, been orphaned, traded in the illegal pet market, or rescued from being traumatised for entertainment in circuses, beach resorts and night clubs.

The South African chimpanzee sanctuary is proud to be part of the Jane Good Institute, which is a global leader in the effort to conserve and preserve endangered species and habitats, and in particular chimpanzees.

Bushtrail, a farm of 80 hectares, is situated in the Magaliesburg area, approximately 80 km from Johannesburg and about 100 from Pretoria.

Bushtrail is situated well off the main road and we have a magnificent view of the Magaliesburg mountain, which was declared a world biosphere site in August 2015, and the valleys leading to it.

Bushtrail was originally started as a holiday camp catering for those children whose parents were unable to go away on holiday at the same time. These camps were and still are very popular. In 1981 the Educational side of Bushtrail was developed and it was in 1982 that the full potential of Bushtrail was realized when it was approved as an Environmental Field Centre by by the then School Journey Services.

Bushtrail's School Holiday Camps The camps are based on the American Camp idea. We cater for the seven to fourteen year old age group.

Our main aim is to let your children have a holiday which they will remember for a long time. We have lots of fun, the number of return campers is sure proof of that.

When the campers arrive they are divided into groups of about 10 campers per group. Each group has their own counsellor. A counsellor is an old camper who has shown leadership qualities and were selected for their ability to work with a broad spectrum of personalities and ages.

Each camp is run along a particular theme and the programme is worked out prior to their arrival, the counsellors help to run the programme. They ensure that each camper is having a great holiday.

Some of our activities include hiking, art, swimming, obstacle course, baseball, clay work, cook out, campfire, Games, trail setting and many more.

Bushtrail's facilities Accommodation We can accommodate 120 children, sleeping in bungalows on bunk beds which have high density foam rubber mattresses.

The ablution facilities have flush toilets and hot and cold running water in the showers.

There are two small chlorinated, fenced swimming pools, baseball, table tennis, an obstacle course and lots of lawn for soccer, cricket etc.
