On a train a man and a woman share an armrest.

Every time he falls asleep, she nudges his elbow.

Every time she nudges his elbow he wakes up.

A woman is in a coma for many weeks.

Nobody knows when she will wake up again.

In a traffic accident a policeman saves the life of a car driver.

After the accident, the policeman separates from his wife and marries the car driver whose life he saved.

The loud bang of the door makes the woman jump.

A young man and a young woman have a life-threatening experience on a hiking trip in the French Pyrenees. Both of them survive. The shared event triggers a passionate love affair. The love affair ends when the hiking trip does.

A boy provokes a boy in a game. The boy who is provoked pulls the other boy to the ground and starts strangling him.

A pregnant woman visits her husband’s parents. The husband’s father casually touches the young pregnant woman’s breasts while greeting her.

Years later, the man’s father compliments her on her top and casually touches her right arm above her elbow.

While travelling through Albania a young woman and her boyfriend are invited to stay for about a week with an extended family of farmers in the countryside. The young man works with the men in the fields and the woman stays with the women in the house looking after the children and maintaining the household. One day the baby of the farmer’s 15-years-old daughter is crying. Because the mother is not at home, the Albanian women ask the young traveller to put the baby on her breast. She puts the baby to her breast and it stops crying.

The mother caresses her daughter only when she sleeps.

The crying woman drinks water.
