Police Department

Our 2025 Teen Academy concluded this week. We would like to recognize Sgt. Ayres, Sgt. Patterson, and all the CERT members, volunteers, and sponsors who made it possible. Sgt. Ayres has been keeping the Facebook page updated with photos, and he would be the best point of contact for any other details you might need for the Friday Update or employee newsletter.

We are also concluding our annual active shooter training this Friday. We coordinate active shooter training every year for all Nacogdoches County law enforcement. This is a significant endeavor, and our SWAT officers do all the planning, coordination, and conduct all the training. We were hosted by Garrison ISD for 2025, which allowed all those officers who attended to train in their school, becoming more familiar with that environment. Lt. Nick Stewart would be able to provide more information if you need it. There were multiple agencies represented.

Both of these events were supported by the Nacogdoches County Law Enforcement Foundation through material and supplies.
