Community Happenings Another successful Blueberry Festival is in the books! Thanks to everyone involved in organizing, set up and cleanup of this great event in downtown Nacogdoches. Mark your calendars for Freedom Fest on July 4th! This firework show is put on by the Nacogdoches Jaycees and provides residents a chance to enjoy music, food, vendors and more! All City offices will be closed on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Our offices will reopen for normal business on Monday, June 22. Join us for a Picnic in the Park to kick off the America 250 celebrations in Nacogdoches! Nacogdoches Parks and Recreation and Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Foundation are excited to add this day of family fun to start off your Independence Day weekend. This event is proudly sponsored by Eaton! We will have sports, games, and giveaways, and you will be able to join our Nacogdoches Police and Fire Departments for Hot Dogs with your Heroes!
