Community Happenings The City of Nacogdoches will host a Capital Improvement Plan/Bond Open House inside the meeting room of the C.L Simon Recreation Center on May 12 from 3-5:00 p.m. The purpose of this open house will be to update the public on the progress of the various publicly funded bond projects underway through the city (or upcoming projects).

The Red Dirt Mud Run will take place on Saturday at the Nacogdoches County Expo Center. The 5K race begins at 8:00 a.m., with heats occurring every 20 minutes. See more information about the race here.
