Community Happenings The Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) will host a Speak Up, Texas! event in Nacogdoches on Friday, April 10. The event will be held at the Fredonia Hotel from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Read the news release here. The County and City will hold a series of public meetings throughout the county to gather public input for their Hazard Mitigation Action Plan. The purpose of each public meeting is to provide a project overview from H2O Partners, Inc., consultant to the project, and solicit information from the community. The County and City of Nacogdoches will hold the first public meeting on April 16, 2026.
