It is with a bittersweet spirit that we recognize Animal Services Manager Theresa Jordan as she works her final week at the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter. Theresa joined the City in August of 2013 and was promoted to manager in 2014 During her tenure she has overseen numerous improvements to the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter and has seen over 8,000 pets adopted out to new homes during that period. Theresa and her staff have dealt with all sorts of different situations and species during her tenure, including countless rabbits, ferrets, potbelly pigs, horses/ponies, goats, rooster/chickens, 1 racing pigeon (with a counterfeit band, how intriguing!), possums, raccoons, foxes, vultures and more. We wish Theresa the best in the next step in her journey and thank her for her years of service and dedication to Nacogdoches and all the animals within it.
