STUDENT TRANSPORT TO ALL HALLOWS CATHOLIC COLLEGE 2013-14 New Freedoms Continue to Improve Transport to All Hallows All Hallows Catholic College has managed to secure a better and more efficient student transport service despite the withdrawal of local authority subsidies and local authority commissioning. This is the second year of our new system with Bostock’s proving to be a highly efficient and very flexible service, responding to new needs and opening up new routes. In order to maintain reasonable costs for families, our voluntary academy budget is currently making a direct investment of over £60,000 per annum to the transport in order to make it possible to travel to and from All Hallows for less than £2.50 per day. This is one of the lowest home-to-school transport charges in the area and, with concessions for siblings (10%) and Families who have been or are in receipt of Free Schools Meals (in the last six years), cost should be no bar to young people being able to attend our outstanding Catholic college. These costs, together with an open availability of seats, mean that all children have equal access to All Hallows irrespective of faith background or previous school attended. This service has been made possible with the support of the governors of college in the form of subsidies and a special partnership with Bostocks coaches who have registered the routes as commercial services. The college is experiencing improved recruitment from Poynton, Wilmslow, Congleton and other areas such as Hazel Grove and Stockport and welcomes applications from all parents seeking a Church school education for their children. The dedicated service from the Langley and Sutton side of Macclesfield has proven very popular in it’s first year of operation and we are hopeful that the new AH6 and 7 route will be equally popular as Marton, Siddington, and Wincle gain easier access. Additionally, in order to encourage a 100% transfer of students from our traditional Catholic partner schools in Handforth (St Benedict’s), Poynton (St Paul’s) and Congleton (St Mary’s), Y6 parents should note that they will receive a re-embursement of transport fees at the end of Y7 in order to assist with the second year of transport costs. Families wishing to use the services should contact Bostocks coaches directly, and the college finance office if FSM concessions are required.
