We are asking you as parents join us as a college community in praying for the Conclave. EPQ Evening- Thursday 14th March As part of their Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) some of our Sixth Form students must deliver a presentation based on their research projects. This is an open invitation for parents and students to hear about the high quality research they have carried out. 37 The number of responses to OfSTED Parent View survey for All Hallows (on 6 March 2012). The previous data was erased when we became and academy and we would be very grateful if as many parents as possible could fill in this on-line form so we can use the information in our college self evaluation and action planning. www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/. This is a key document for OfSTED and we really need your help. We are aiming for at least 100 responses before Easter.
Consultation Changes to College Day (Wednesdays) You will have received a letter about a proposed change to the start (and possibly) finish time to Wednesdays from September 2013. if your child has not handed over the letter, check the inside of their college blazer or go to Principal's letters on the website. The purpose of the change is to embed staff training into the working life for teachers in order to continue to develop excellent teaching and learning. Your comments are most welcome. The governors will be making a decision on the proposal on 30 April following the feedback.
Intermediate Maths Challenge The 2012/13 Intermediate Maths Challenge from UKMT (Leeds) was taken in college in January by 50 of our students from years 9 to 11. Results included 3 Gold Certificates, 7 Silver Certificates and 15 Bronze Certificates. Special mention goes to: Jacob Kalnins (Best in Year 9) Jake Wedge (Best in Year 10) Hannah Massey (Best in Year 11 and Best in School) Congratulations to all who took part.
Lost Property
PTA quiz night Friday 22nd March at All Hallows. Tickets £7.50 per person includes cheese and biscuits. Licensed bar available including Storm Beers.
We have an enormous amount of lost property, including brand new coats. Any unclaimed items will be recycled at the end of next week.

Attendance Matters At All Hallows During the last week college attendance was as follows: Year 7 - 97.3% up by 3.2% on the previous week WELL DONE YEAR 7 Year 8 - 95.1% up by 3.2% WELL DONE YEAR 8 Year 9 - 95.7% up by 2.6% WELL DONE YEAR 9 Year 10 - 96.5% up by 4.1% EXCELLENT YEAR 10 Year 11 - 93.9% up by 2.3% WELL DONE YEAR 11 Overall attendance in the last week was 95.7% WHICH IS THE HIGHEST THIS ACADEMIC YEAR SINCE WEEK 2 IN SEPTEMBER. Overall attendance since September also standing at 94%. WE AIM FOR 97% Please can parents keep discussing attendance with their children? If a child is absent then please contact the college on the first day of absence and keep us updated daily. Try to avoid whole day absence unless it is absolutely necessary. For example a trip to the doctor may not require more than a couple of hours absence and not a full day. Attendance is proven to help with academic progress and achievement. Many students in college has recently been praised for 100% attendance during the Epiphany term with 7C winning the prize for the best form in the whole college. They won chocolates, toast and hot chocolate courtesy of the Principal.
