Inspire evening A message of thanks sent to the Principal Just want to say how much myself and my guests enjoyed the musical talent of both your students and the staff who helped put it all together. The whole evening was brilliant, full of variety, wonderful song choices and amazing talent. It was a credit to you and your staff. Please pass on my thanks to Mr Richardson and his team from myself as a Governor and a parent of a son who was involved. The refreshments were a lovely touch, too, and how the room was set out. A very enjoyable evening! Dawn Franklin

Prayer for the Academic Year

Superb Enterprise Effort!

O God of all beginnings and endings, we praise and thank you for the gift of this academic year.

Students in Year 7 and 8 have raised a total of £1188.10 for our Clinic project in the poor mountain village of Varusanadu in Tamil Nadu, South India. They have achieved this through their business projects setting up and running co-operative businesses - as part of their enterprise learning activities.

It has been a time filled with grace and blessings, and with challenges, opportunities, joys and sorrows. Give us the rest and refreshment we need this Summer. Let our efforts of this past year bear fruit. bring all of our plans to a joyful conclusion, and bless us, according to your will, with the fulfilment of our summer hopes and dreams. Watch over us in the weeks ahead, and guide each day as you have done this past year. May we continue, with a new spirit and a new energy, and to grow in age, wisdom, knowledge and grace

ParentView - 25 more responses needed 125 responses to ParentView - can we reach 150 by the end of the academic year? We really would appreciate parents responses to the OfSTED survey. The link is www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk It's online and very quick and easy to complete. Thank you to the parents who have already responded.

Thank you for your support Thank you to the many parents, students, governors, partner school Headteacher, and friends of All Hallows who have passed on their congratulations on my selection as a National Leader of Education (NLE) and All Hallows' designation as a National Support School (NSS). It is a joy to work and lead in a place where the aspiration 'not to have more but to be more' in order to make a difference is shared so strongly. Mr Billings.

Calling all parents/grand-parents We'd like to celebrate the successes of our former students. If you know of a former student graduating this year could you let us have their name, details of their degree and classification.

Alumni Success Callum Billings has graduated from Lancaster University with a 2:1 in Music Technology. James Gillan has been awarded 2:1 Honours Degree in History from the University of York

PARENTS AS PARTNERS: MOBILE TELEPHONES Parents and students are reminded that all students’ mobile ‘phones must be switched off between 8:55am and 3:15pm and not be used for any reason during the day. Failure to comply with this rule may result in items being confiscated which will have to be collected from College by a parent. If a student is ill and uses the ‘sick room’, then the office staff must contact home, not the student on their mobile ‘phone. Thank you for your on-going support with this matter.

Enterprise Success Congratulations to Maciek Madejowski and Jack Lynch who start paid internships with Barclays on Monday, 15 July, based at Radbroke Hall and to Harry Moss and Andrew Loxham who started theirs with Peaks and Plains this Monday. The feedback on Gianluca Ventisei and Aiden Conwry who are currently placed with The Co-operative College in Manchester is that they are doing and excellent job. Successful completion of these internship will mean that all these students will be able to graduate from the Career Academy next Summer.

Army Cadet Force Our Principal was delighted to be invited on Monday 15 July 2013, to the Army Cadet Force to see an enrolment of fifteen All Hallows' students as cadets. The students, which make up the majority of the Weston Estate based Squadron, had especially invited Mr Billings to attend the ceremony to show how proud they are were of their achievements which involved passing skills assessments and learning drill. The cadets performed a polished full drill and promises to serve God, the Queen and their country. The Cadets formally signed membership documents and received badges from the leader for their uniform. Mr Billings was very impressed with the discipline shown in the drill and also with the conversation he had with the students where they spoke in detail about the values they were learning, and the content of the ATC skills lessons. Well done students - you are great ambassadors for your college and we are proud of you!
