Exam Results Days - August 2014 Thursday 14th August 2014 8:30am - 10:30am A2 Results (Year 13) 11:00am - 12:30am AS Results (Year 12) Thursday 21st August 2014 10:00am - 12:00 noon - GCSE Results (Y11 only) Results must be collected in person. They will not be issued over the telephone or by email.

YEAR LEARNING LEADERS– DROP IN SURGERIES Year 7 and Year 8 Friday 18 July between 8.30 a.m and 9.30 a.m with Mr Mercer and Mr Parke These are for parents who would like to discuss any concerns relating to their child. No appointment is necessary but please be prepared to wait. Future dates for other year groups will be confirmed shortly. No more surgeries are planned this year with other year groups, but please feel free to contact our Pastoral Assistant, Mrs C Jepson (C.Jepson@allhallows.org.uk 01625 426138 ex215), should you require an appointment with a Year Learning Leader.

PRINCIPALS SURGERY Parents / carers are invited to attend a Principal’s Surgery to discuss any concerns or ask questions, on the following dates Tuesday 1 July, 3.30pm – 4.30pm Tuesday 8 July, 9am – 10am There is no appointment system so please be prepared to wait SPECIALISM SUCCESS Celebrating bi-lingualism. Michal Sienko, Aleksandra Walicka, Julia Rosinska, all in year 10 should all be commended for completing their GCSE Polish speaking test. Five bilingual students have prepared a bidding prayer in their home language which will be shared at our feast day masses. This is a good opportunity to celebrate the richness of linguistic talent within the All Hallows Community. PENTCOST As in previous years we are adopting Pentecost, the birth of the Church, as the opportunity in which to celebrate the foundation of All Hallows Catholic College. On Monday June 9 (the day after Pentecost Sunday),Years 7 and 8 will be escorted by their teachers down to St. Albans RC Church, Macclesfield, for the celebration of a special All Hallows Feast day Mass at 1.45 pm. Following the downpour three years ago, we strongly recommend that all students bring with them some form of coat, rainwear or umbrella for the walk to and from the church.Students going to St Albans, will be back to the College in time for buses etc. Earlier in the day, Mass will be celebrated in the College Hall for Years 9 & 10. PARENTS AS PARTNERS: COLLEGE BAGS Can parents please make sure that there Child has the appropriate College bag with the College logo. These are available at Finesse ECO FACT Recycled cans can be used to make cars and planes. COMMUNITY MASS All Hallows Chapel every Friday 9am-9.45am Parents/Carers/Parishioners are all welcome

PARENTS AS PARTNERS: JUMPERS A reminder to all parents that jumpers must continue to be worn. If the weather does become warm then we will give permission to remove blazers and jumpers

CAREERS ADVICE FOR STUDENTS Our new careers advisor, Mrs Jean Pilling, has now seen 185 students for impartial careers interviews since she started in mid-December - 16% of the whole College. If any parents would like their son or daughter to have a careers interview this year then please notify the relevant Year Leader who can ensure names are added to the list. Priority is now with Year 10 who will all be seen over the coming weeks and months. She will also see some Year 9 students over the next few weeks. She has a drop in on Thursday lunchtime for students of any year.
