Raising funds to support our Clinic and Community Room in India Thank you to all of our Sixth Form Students who organised their annual Fancy Dress Day to raise funds for our project in Tamil Nadu.

Recommended Reads Help support your child's learning by encouraging them to read widely and independently at home. Every week college staff and students will recommend a book for Key Stages 3 and 4. Many of these books can be borrowed from the school library. KS3 - The 'Goosebumps' series by R.L. Stine are great books that tell stories of teenagers in different spooky situations. Read them all...if you dare! Mollie Easterby, Year 7 KS4 - 'The Maze Runner' by James Dashner is a sci-fiadventure-mystery-action book that is guaranteed to scare you, puzzle you and keep you turning pages. It is the story of a group of memory-wiped boys attempts to escape from the Maze. It contains numerous action scenes and extreme suspense that makes putting it down almost as difficult as solving the Maze... James Musgrave, Year 9

HOST – Volunteer Families needed HOST is a charity, founded 25 years ago by the British Council, which encourages international friendship and understanding by arranging for adult international students at universities in the UK to spend 1 – 3 days in a British home. We are always grateful to welcome new hosts on board. Not only is hosting a wonderful opportunity to meet people from around the world and introduce them to our customs, but it also allows for children to be introduced to other cultures, therefore broadening their knowledge and increasing their understanding. To learn more about volunteer hosting see www.hostuk.org or contact Alan on 01845 527448.
