All Hallows Catholic College Newsletter Michaelmas Term
COLLEGE PRAYER
SPECIALISM SUCCESS This week we celebrated European Day of Languages where students and staff celebrated linguistic diversity across the College. We extended this experience to our colleagues and students at Parkroyal Primary School where our 6th Form Students conducted language lessons across the entire of Key Stage 2! It was excellent to see our students modelling All Hallows core values and using teaching strategies they’ve seen in our classes. The students involved were George Tyldesley, Niamh Middlemass, Morgan Hadfield, Emily Glynn, Erin Lamb, Alice Robinson, Emily RaHerty, Kelly Mbouala, and Simon Montalvo.

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi (Feast October 4) Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy; O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. Prayer focus: Justice and Peace
PARENTS AS PARTNERS
SIXTH FORM TARGET
Parents, we ask for your support with ensuring students understand about respecting personal space of others. At college we have a ‘no touch rule’. We emphasize to students that over enthusiastic or overly boisterous ‘play’ can sadly spiral too quickly into more dangerous or more provocative behavior which needs to be sanctioned. We ask your support in making sure that students understand the purpose of this and the reasons it is in place.
Yr 12 Target Grades have been issued by subject teachers over the past week. The grades represent a student’s minimum target grade based on KS4 GCSE results. Please speak to your son or daughter about their target grades. A full explanation of how the grades are generated is included in the Sixth Form Handbook TARGETS
