College Prayer

Specialism Success

Prayer to St Joseph for families Gracious St Joseph, protect our families from danger, as you protected the infant Christ and Mary his mother from the wrath of Herod.

In Year 7 and 8 this term Languages are adopting a cross-curricular approach via Content-Language Integrated Learning. The philosophy of CLIL is that another subject, usually a Humanity, is taught through a foreign language. Year 7 and 8 will be studying a series of lessons on Developmental Geography. The rationale is that students will see a different dimension to the language, they will be using higher order thinking skills and will be presented with an even higher level of challenge in their learning. CLIL has been proven to increase results and uptake at GCSE and A Level. Watch this space for further development!

Pray for us, that we respect, love and care for each other in our families and help us to be understanding and forgiving towards one another. Most of all St Joseph, bring us closer to Jesus and pray for our families. Amen. Prayer focus: Protecting our families
