Parents As Partners Outdoor Wear Now winter is here, we ask for the support of parents in ensuring that College policy is carried out regarding suitable coats and scarves. Coats must be a black rain jacket that can be worn over a blazer and embroidered with the College badge for all KS 3 and 4 students. Smaller jackets or hoodies are not allowed. Scarves must be dark, plain, functional and not a fashion style scarf. Students should not wear scarves and coats in the main College buildings during the day.

Sixth Form News Year 11 students are reminded that they will have the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a Sixth Form Student on Friday December 8th. Students are invited to wear Business Dress on the day. Yr 13 students Reading Day - Friday 8th December Students are not required to attend College on the 8th December (Year 11 Taster Day). Independent work will be set by your subject teachers for completion from home. Year 12 students - Friday 8th December Student Assessment will continue (Option D) Friday morning. Students are free to study from home in the afternoon. Students who do not study a subject in option D are not required to attend College on the 8th December (Year 11 Taster Day). Independent work will be set by your subject teachers for completion from home.
Advent Catholic Social Enterprise During Advent we will be supporting Families in crisis within our Diocese through the charity Caritas. All tutor groups have chosen a Christmas present for a child and have committed to donating the money necessary to purchase it. We would be grateful if you could discuss the project with your child and encourage them to make their contribution by Friday.

The All Hallows’ Harvest Appeal supports the ‘Local’ Community As part of this year’s Harvest Appeal students across the whole college demonstrated a clear sign of the students’ commitment to the five Core Values by filling The Chapel with hampers and food bags containing a wide variety of non-perishable food and toiletries. Hampers went to The Silk Life Food Bank in Macclesfield so that the beneficiaries of the Harvest Appeal were local people who find themselves struggling financially, for whatever reason, whether they find themselves in that position temporarily or on a more permanent basis. The students addressed the challenge in 2 ways.
Firstly, students rose to the challenge of gathering a wider range of food products than in previous years. In the past it has sometimes been the case that one particular food group dominated the donations. This year The College trialled a “shopping list” with the students aiming for variety so that the local families would receive the equivalent of a week’s shopping from each form. This proved to be very successful. Secondly, as the Harvest Hampers were prepared in House groups/forms of Pax, Alpha, Omega and Ichtus, a competition was led by this year’s House Leaders to encourage hampers to be decorated by each of the forms. Executive Principal, Mr AS Billings, saw fair judging took place when he selected the hampers which he deemed to be most creative and decorative; a difficult task as some of the hampers appeared to be professional gifts, such was the standard. The winning forms were 10SF, 10VP and 9PP. Arguably the new Year 7s had a trickier part to play in this activity as their forms represent each of the four houses and so the activity demanded real commitment to the cause. Looking at the hampers however, it is clear they rose to the challenge. We are certain that the recipients of the hampers and food bags will have been overwhelmed to receive them as they are demonstrably gifts of compassion and cooperation based on the support offered by students, parents and staff in this challenge. ELF Run
All Hallows are once again taking part in the Elf Run to raise money for East Cheshire Hospice. The funruns will take place in normal PE lessons, Year 8 on Wednesday 13th December and Year 7 on Thursday 14th December. All students will be provided with a sponsorship envelope. A minimum donation of £2 is required to get an elf hat. The student who raises the most money will receive a £10 Amazon voucher from Miss Thomason

Year 7’s took to the field for the first time in the Rugby festival. It was a huge learning experience for the team but they showed grit, determination and solidarity throughout. Every student gave 100% and represented the College well, showing the core values on and off the pitch.

Well done to all Gymnasts who regularly attend Gym club. The girls have been learning how to develop their individual agilities including vaulting skills over a box as well as exploring advanced skills of headsprings over a box and forward somersaults. Special Mention to Annabel Wood Year 7 for mastery of the headspring, fantastic technique and no support. Well done! The Year 9 girls have been devising their personal training programme in the fitness suite during their lessons with a focus on keeping their heart rate between 60% and 80%, they are half way through now and feeling the benefits. Keep it up girl’s tremendous effort.
