Parents As Partners Parking: Please can we remind all parents/guardians to be considerate to our neighbours and community around the college, especially on Brooklands Avenue and Bedford Road. We ask that you keep our Residents Drive ways clear and to not speed down their roads. Please ensure that students have a re-usable water bottle 700-800ml Reminder that if the temperature drops students will be required to wear jumpers and Blazers. Please ensure students are wearing the rest of their uniform correctly. Farm Update (Celebrations)

Student Reward – Non Uniform Day During the Easter period we asked students to work with their tutor to raise money to help maintain the clinic we built in Tamil Nadu, India 8 years ago. Students came up with a host of fundraising ideas which enabled them to demonstrate our college values in practice. In doing so they raised almost £4,000. To thank them for their efforts the students are invited to take part in our non-uniform day on Wednesday 18th July 2018. Lessons will run as normal throughout the day so it is important that students have their usual school equipment and college bag with them. Students are reminded that our usual high standards are expected on the day, therefore it would not be appropriate to wear make-up, nail polish or jewellery. The efforts of the form which raised the most money in each year group will also be rewarded with a chocolate treat at their upcoming rewards assembly. Celebrations... June on the Farm
All Hallows Languages Conference The All Hallows Languages Team welcomed over 200 Year 5 students from local primary schools to the annual Primary Languages Conference on Wednesday 13th June. Students, enjoyed a variety of exciting lessons to highlight the wide range of languages on offer at All Hallows. The day ended with an assembly where staff and Year 10 Language Ambassadors were thanked and the Year 5 students shared some of the interesting facts and words they had learnt. Merengue dancing, toga tying, Haribo pronunciation, Roman Gods, the Hungry Caterpillar in Spanish & French and Mandarin calligraphy were some of the activities tried by our Year 5s. The Languages staff played their part by dressing up too; traditional Colombian clothing, Roman togas and a full Zinedine Zidane kit were some of the costumes on display! The Languages department was delighted with the Conference and the Primaries enjoyed it too: "The activities were really fun and I learnt how to say things in several languages." Many thanks to all those who took part and we’re looking forward to welcoming next year’s Year 5 students. Merci, Danke , Gracias, Xiè xiè, Gratias Ago!
Former student Caitlin Shasby Obtained 2:1 Law degree from Newcastle University and is currently at the University of Sunderland completing her LLM LPC (on track for a commendation), with a thesis on Mental Health in the workplacefocus on the legal profession. 03

‘Sometimes, at night, the dirt outside turns into a beautiful ocean. As red as the sun and as deep as the sky.’ Yet the ocean is something Subhi has never seen and the sky only as wide as the he can see. Born in a refugee camp, all Subhi knows of the world is that he's at least 19 fence diamonds high, the nice Jackets never stay long, and at night he dreams that the sea finds its way to his tent, bringing with it unusual treasures. Then, one day it brings him Jimmie. Carrying a notebook that she's unable to read and wearing a sparrow made out of bone around her neck - both talismans of her family's past and the mother she's lost - Jimmie strikes up an unlikely friendship with Subhi beyond the fence. As he reads aloud the tale of how Jimmie's family came to be, both children discover the importance of their own stories in writing their futures.

The AHCC Wiseman Library has over 6,000 items for students (and staff) to use for school work, personal interest and a relaxing read. There are also 29 computers for students to use for their homework. Ask Ms Sinclair, the Librarian, if you need any help. Printing in the Library
In a bid to reduce waste, we are asking students (and staff) to think before they print anything from the library printer. We have finite paper stocks and are keen to be green! Book Amnesty
A significant number of books went missing from the library last year, notably from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, numerous Roald Dahl, Tom Gates and David Walliams titles, as well as all of the Geek Girl series. Many of these books were brand new. As I am sure you understand, purchasing and having to replace these items impacts heavily on our budget. Therefore, if you have any library books at home, I would ask kindly that they are returned, no questions asked. All our students can then benefit from an increased choice of books on the shelves. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support in this matter.

Cricket result Year 7/8 v Poynton High School. All Hallows Catholic College lost. All Hallows achieved 70 all out chasing Poynton High School score of 130 all out. Outstanding Performer: Owen Dewar - all round effective leadership and some amazing ‘6’s’ produced! Outstanding Newcomers: Patrick Jones - 20 runs and fantastic batting performance. Kieran Heywood - 1 wicket and impressive bowling performance.
