COLLEGE PRAYER

PRAYER FOR CONFIRMATION Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and light up in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth. O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

COLLEGE TO MAKE A STAND AGASINST BULLYING

Each year our College community makes a stand against bullying and does an activity which gets the message across that bullying will not be tolerated here at All Hallows. Last year students made a video that can be found on our website and on YouTube. In previous years we have had pledges signed by the whole community and even planes flying overhead whilst the school community was on the field spelling out the words "All Hallows is against bullying". You can find this picture if you google the words "All Hallows Bullying". This year our community will be invited to add a fingerprint to a teardrop collage. With 1,000 staff and students in the College it will be long lasting and visible piece of artwork that will help with the message that bullying has no place in our College.

RESPECT FOR OUR NEIGHBOURS

Can we please ask all parents who come to College by car to pick up or drop off their children to show respect to residents of the neighbouring streets and to consider the safety of our students? We put cones on Brooklands Avenue at busy times to prevent parking on both sides of the road, which could impede the passage of emergency vehicles to either the school or local residents’ properties, and respectfully request that visitors do not ‘double park’. On other neighbouring streets there have been instances of waiting parents blocking residents’ driveways and thus we ask parents to show respect to our neighbours and not to impede access to local properties. Your help is greatly appreciated and will assist in maintaining good relations with our local community.

PARENTS AS PARTNERS: STUDENT ABSENCE

STUDENT ABSENCE Parents are reminded to contact the College on the first and every day of a student's absence. If no explanation is received by 11am, the College will contact parents in the first instance by mean of mobile 'phone text message or voicemail broadcast. FAMILY HOLIDAYS Parents are requested not to take students out of school during term-time. The term dates are published on the website. Any requests for absence due to exceptional circumstances should be made to your child's Key Stage Manager.
