COLLEGE PRAYER

SPECIALISM SUCCESS

Prayer for the Ascension of the Lord

Congratulations to Year 13 CAUK Business Students who attended their graduation ceremony in Leeds this week further to a successful completion of the CAUK programme. The ceremony took place at ASDA MCE with students from all across the North of England attending. The graduation celebrates their success in completing a paid internship last summer and completion of studying Level 3 BTEC Business and A Level Economics and Business. Conor Proudman represented the College as students took to the stage, presenting a short speech to a packed audience. The experience of The CAUK Programme has proved invaluable in successfully seeking university places and apprenticeships. Well done!

God our Father, make us joyful in the ascension of your Son, Jesus Christ. May we follow him into the new creation, for his ascension is our glory and our hope. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

YEAR 5 PARENT OPEN MORNING PARENTS AS PARTNERS— YEAR 13 LEAVING

Thursday 21 May will be Year 13's final day in college. They have been a credit to the college both academically and in terms of Social Enterprise. On their last day in college students will take part in a Mass, followed by some time on inflatable slides and a rodeo bull. This will be followed by the annual Leavers' dinner, which will take place in the Radisson Edwardian in Manchester at the end of June. Students are welcome, and encouraged to continue attending lessons up until they have sat the final exam in that subject. We wish them all the best in their final examinations and in their studies and careers after All Hallows. DINNER MONEY FOR LEAVERS

It’s that time of year again! As students prepare to leave All Hallows, we are mindful that many of them will have balances on their school meal accounts. Please be aware that any balances below £5.00 will not be refunded. With this in mind, can you ask your children to run down their account balance as they get towards the end of the school year? Any balances over £5.00 can either be refunded or transferred to another sibling staying at All Hallows. Unfortunately, no money can be transferred to trips as the school meals money goes directly to our outside caterer. If you have any questions, please contact the Finance Office finance@allhallows.org.uk or 01625 426138. Thank you for your continued support.

All Hallows wants to say a big well done to Year 7 student Rebekah Mooney who took place in a gymnastic competition in February and scored a high enough score to allow her to enter a National Gymnastic Competition this weekend. Rebekah is the youngest competitor and competed on 5 pieces, managing to come in the top 10 on two pieces of apparatus (9th on Floor and 10th on Vault). She currently trains 20 hours a week and she is the first gymnast from her club to enter a national competition. Well Done Rebekah!

ECO FACT

Oil accounts for a quarter of all pollution incidents; one can of oil poured onto a lake can cover an area the size of two football pitches.
