The
field of Arabian horse breeding is very wide, such as a desert. The Arabian Desert is known as the homeland for the purebred horses and nomads. In this article, we will focus upon the breeding of Arabian horses in Egypt, which is based mainly on the strategies and experiences and smart choices of the Egyptian Arabian horse breeders and experts, who enlighten the world with their visions in this field. Mrs. Wigdan El Barbary was one of the most influential figures; the Arabian horse lover and breeder, who won the coveted title of the “mother of Egyptian breeders”, as well as the “mother of Arabian horses”.

She spent more than 50 years of her life in the field of Arabian horse breeding and their improving welfare in her famous stud farm: "Shams Al Asil". Back to the Egypt's Royal and Fuad I; the first king of modern Egypt. Mrs. El Barbary lived in that era with her family in Alexandria. Her father was Dr. Mohammed Abboud, one of the first eye doctors at the time, and her Circassian mother, who filled the family garden with animals, and gave a special attention to horses. In this atmosphere, Wigdan inherited love for animals from her mother and grandmother. Wigdan was born in in 1927 in Asyut Governorate in Egypt, where her father was working and there she spent her childhood. The family moved to Giza near Cairo, where she started learning at the French school. The liberal father focused on educating his eight years old girl, who grew up with her grandmother after her mother`s death. In the year of her graduation, the young Wigdan married to Dr. Abdulsalam El-Barbari. After her marriage, she found a lot of free time, therefore she started to search with her friends for a place to learn horseback riding. She found a Russian trainer in Dokki district of Cairo, then she decided to move to live in the same district in order to follow regular training for equine sport. The constant training makes her passionate about horse racing. She could efficiently develop her skills in this field. In one of her interviews, she mentioned her first jumping horse “Jeep” and how they were closely related. In her beginnings, she practiced horse jumping with the English and French officers jumping team in Cairo and participated in many local competitions. The history of "Shams Al Asil" stud farm: The establishment of "Shams Al Asil" stud farm is dated back to the year 1963. It is the second oldest stud farm mentioned in the Egyptian Agricultural Commission`s records and one of the most influential farms in the history of the Arabian horse in Egypt. It is known that Wigdan had a great passion for horses in general and conserved them faithfully. Even for those labor horses in the close farms, she tried to take care of them and fight against the human`s harsh behavior. She considered horses at her property, as her own children and spent her time saving their lives and conserving them as an important cultural element. She refused sometimes to sell her horses, either due to scarcity or rarity of their strains, or the absence of brothers of the same blood or the same performance level. She made a lot financial sacrifices in order to support the new generations of Arabian horse lovers and young breeders who have a full respect for her efforts, even though visions and breeding strategies were different. Her stud farm was a meeting point for interdisciplinary artists, like her cousin Mohammed Nagi, as well as and the cinema star Ahmed Mazhar and they shared their interest in horses. Wigdan was the only woman in the Egyptian horse jumping team at the time. She learned a lot about horses and received a lot of advices from the director of El Zahraa stud farm at that time “Tibor von Pettkö –Szandtner”. She searched for purebred horses of the Royal Inshass and Hamdan stables and decided to buy three foals from the Egyptian Agricultural Commission in order to include them in the breeding program of Shams Al-Asil stud farm. She had her own philosophy of breeding and selecting horses. “I do not buy a horse unless it does fit to my instinct and only when I look in the eyes and forehead and feel comfortable. This is the first priority, putting aside all economic considerations. Breeders have to know that there is no optimal horse, but accepting that each horse has desirable traits, as well as some malformations. Breeders have to show their faithfulness, stop being hoggish and bear in mind the wider objective of breeding. If you love your horses passionately, you will work hard to enhance their production by selecting and maintaining the best traits. This applies perfectly to the case of having a child who is quarrelsome but you cannot get rid of it. You will do your best to teach it how to behave. Arabian horse breeder should love their horses more, and insist to improve their performance consistently”. It is clear now why Wigdan always kept her horses for generations. You may find the tenth generation of horses or even beyond. Her life was full of love and passion for the purebred Egyptian Arabian horses. About her unique experience, philosophy and passion, she said in one of interviews: “I started breeding fifty years ago, when I bought three mares from the Egyptian Agricultural Commission. Then I looked for an Arabian stallion who can capture my heart and I finally found “Sukkar”. Sukkar was such a great, beautiful breeding stallion, but it was not certified by authorities, although it was recognized as an Arabian horse. Then I found “Safi”; a certified outstanding blond Arabian stallion, but it was very expensive. I consulted Dr. Mursafi who asked Safi`s owners for a fertility test but, surprisingly, they refused! We heard about Safi`s brother, the gray stallion “Bilal” at the Egyptian Agricultural Commission, but it was reserved exclusively for El Zahraa stud. I went to El Zahraa stud and I met “Bilal” there, the glowing eyes and the remarkable performance. They told me “Bilal” is not for sale, but instead I can get any other stallion! I left El Zahraa with loads of sadness. After six months, I received a call from Dr. Mursafi to inform me that Bilal is to be auctioned off in the next days due to its aggressive behavior in El Zahraa stud. I did the transaction and Bilal moved to my own stud. My beloved Bilal became in short time the master of my horses. Shortly after having Bilal, Dr. Mursafi and the chef of the Egyptian Agricultural Commission came to visit

Walei Al Ahd (Set El Hosn II x Beltagi) me because they were both worried about Bilal and its aggressive behavior that might causes physical or emotional harm to me. I took them to the stable and I saw their surprised eyes when I gave some kind of whistling sound which attracted Bilal. Bilal was trotting with his graceful steps, raising his ears and tail and following me. I knew that Bilal was a very proud stallion, therefore he required a full attention and trust. Bilal was the leader of other horses and gained the respect of all Shams Al Asil stud hostlers. Bilal )1969( was the offspring of the stallion Morafic and the mare Mona. Almost the exact same thing happened to me when I bought the three days old foal “Misk” )1979(, the offspring of the stallion Wahag and the mare Nazeema.” Some people wonder, how can we judge a three days old foal and estimate its traits in this early age? The answer came quickly from Mrs. El Barbary: “Do not be surprised, as a horse breeder you have to know that there are two important periods that have distinguishable indicators for the main horse traits, which are empirically desirable. The first stage is the first three weeks and the second is by three years of age. In the first period, newborn foal must be checked carefully, particularly its eyes radiance, forehead, gating steps and appearance. While in the second period, when the foal is at the age of three years, the assessment can be done with more accuracy, where its hooves, maneuvering, body control and character are almost identified. All these indicators can be good guide for the real horse lover. For all these reasons, I bought “Misk” with my confidence standards when it was only three days old, but I did not take it away from its mother till waited till weaning. My standards and assessment were always right and I never regret any decision. I am so proud of my stallions like “Sukkar Maakoud”; the precious jewelry of Shams Al Asil stud. we have to trust our choices, accept horses even with failures and work constantly to enhance the traits of our bred lines”. This was, shortly, the story of Sahms Al Asil stud and its breeder, who believed in love as the most effective factor in raising outstanding Arabian horses. Mrs. Wigdan El Barbary, with her lifelong experience, was a passionate breeder with high sense of beauty and balance in horses. She believed that horse breeding is a human-directed process. Her horses were mainly raised for riding but not for horse beauty completions. She criticized the makeup used in those equine shows and considered that as a manipulation or a distortion. But although, she never refused attending any competition or event. She was always present and welcomed by her fans and other breeders as a great woman. She spent more than 50 years of her life taking care of her stud and improved more than ten generations of Arabian horses. It is important to mention some of the most remarkable horses in Shams Al Asil Stud. Some of her horses were descended from the mare “Fanar” )1965( the offspring of the stallion “Nsrallh” and the mare “Bnt Bwkra”, which has been purchased from the Egyptian Agricultural Commission. One of the most important representatives of Fanar`s line in Shams Al Asil was Sh. A. Alhadiah, the last offspring of the stallion “Bilal”. Bilal, as we mentioned, was the favorite breeding stallion and the closest to Wigdan`s heart, who lived in her stud for 20 years. The stallion “Misk” was considered as the second greatest stallion )Wahag x Nazeema(, who gave the stallion “Sukkar Maakoud” )Misk x Farah(, noting that “Farah” was the daughter of “Bilal”. After that, “Wali Alahd” )Baltagi x Sitt Elhusn2( emerged as one of the best stallions, descendant from the well-known mare “Muniat Alnufus”. Moreover, Shams Al Asil stud used El Zahraa great stallion named “Ibn Adwaia” )Akhtal x Adwaia( for many years. The most remarkable mares in Shams Al Asil stud were: Nirvana )Maleeh x Nadira( and Baghdada )Nirvana x Sukkar Maakoud(. Furthermore, El Zahraa mares “Mishmisha” )Anas x Alanoud( and

ويف الثالث والعرشون من يناير 2018كان مجتمع الخيل العريب مبرص والعامل عىل موعد صعب مع الفراق فقد غربت شمس األصيل ..رحلت وجدان هانم الرببري أم املربيني وعاشقة الخيول العربية .تاركة خلفها مسرية خصبة وخيوال تحمل أسمها ومسريتها فرحمة الله عليها وغفر لها

..أنه بالل وليس للبيع وميكنك الحصول عىل أى ذكر آخر إذا أردت .. ولكننى اعتذرت وانسحبت ..وصورة بالل تطاردىن ..وطيفه ال يفارقنى وذكاؤه يحاورىن. إال أنه بعد 6شهور اتصل ىب الدكتور املرصفى وأبلغنى بأن بالل سيتم عرضه ىف املزاد القادم ..وبالفعل اشرتيت بالل ..الذى مل يستطع سياس الهيئة أن يفهموا تكوينه النفىس وال طبيعته ..وكان عنيفاً معهم بل أنهم كانوا يهابوا الدخول عليه ىف اإلسطبل. وانتقل بالل إىل مزرعتى وكانت فرحتى ال توصف ..واستقبلته كأحسن ما يكون الحبيب وأكرمته كأنه سيد الخيل .وجاءىن الدكتور املرصفى ومعه رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة بعد عدة أيام يتحسسوا ىف حذر ماذا فعل معى بالل وماذا فعلت معه ..وأخذتهم إىل اإلسطبل ..وأطلقت صفارة خفيفة جاءىن عىل أثرها بالل بخطواته الرشيقة رافعاً أذنيه وذيله سائرا ً خلفى ..متتبعاً خطواىت أينام رست .أنه الحب ..لقد أحس جوادى بالل بحبى وإعزازى له لقد زرعت اإلحساس بالزهو ىف قلب بالل واعدت له الثقة ىف نفسه ووظفت له خرية السياس ..الذين اطأمن لهم فكان سيدا ً لجياد شمس األصيل.وبالل هو ابن الفحل االسطورة مرافق والفرس منى ولقد تكرر األمر عندما اقتنيت محبوىب "مسك" لقد اشرتيته من الهيئة وعمره 3أيام ومسك ابن وهاج ونظيمة. وهنا قد يتسائل البعض كيف لنا أن نحكم عىل جواد وهو يف عمر الثالث أيام وهو مازال مهرا صغريا وتأيت اإلجابة رسيعا من السيدة وجدان يف أطار حديثها من واقع تجربتها وخربات السنني فتقول : وال تتعجبوا وتتسائلوا كيف ىل أن أحكم عىل جواد عمره 3ايام وأقر اقتناءه .وهنا يحرضىن أن أؤكد للمربني أن هناك فرتتني زمنيتني هامتني ىف تاريخ الحصان ميكن من خاللها التيقن بصالحية تكوين الجواد الجامىل والنفىس .املرحلة األوىل وهى الثالثة أسابيع األوىل ىف حياة املهر ثم عندما يبلغ الثالث سنوات. ىف املرحلة األوىل تلقى نظرة من خالل عيونه إليك لتعرف مدى حضور املهر بل أن اإلحساس العاطفى وخربات السنني ال ميكن أن تخطئ إذا نظرت إىل مهرا ً صغريا ً حديث الوالدة ..بل ستجد نفسك مدفوعاً إىل إطالة النظر إىل جبهته وحركة ساقيه وشعاع األصالة وهو ينبعث من عينيه. واملرحلة الثانية عندما يكون الجواد يافعاً ىف سن الثالث سنوات وعندئذ لن يخيب تقييمك عندما يهل بطلعته وحضوره ونشاطه وتجد أن مقدمه إليه ثم نظرته إليك ،ثم خيالئه بنفسه ..ثم خطواته عىل أطراف حوافره ومناورته ىف الحركة ..
Walei Al Ahd )(Set El Hosn II x Beltagi كل هذه السلوكيات ال ميكن أن تخطئها عني املرىب الواعى املحب لهذا الجواد .ولكل هذه األسباب اقتنيت مسك وهو عمره ثالثة أيام ومل ينتقل إىل مزرعتى إال بعد فطامه من أمه وأصاب تقييمى ومل يخطئ وكان مسك مفخرة الطالئق التى ما زلت أعتز بكل ما خلفه ىل من نتائج ،كام اعتز مبحبوىب سكر معقود والذى اعتربه تاجاً عىل رأس شمس األصيل .هذه هى طالئقنا املرصية والتى ميكن أن يحىك عنها األبناء واألجيال القادمة ..ليقولوا ..نعم نحن منلك ثروة قومية عالية القيمة ....ميكننا أن نحسن من نتاجنا بأنفسنا ..ولكن علينا أوالً أن نحب خيولنا كام نحب أوالدنا ..وأن نقبلها بكل صفاتها وان نعمل جاهدين عىل أن ننحى عيوبها جيالً بعد جيل وهكذا رأينا كيف كانت بداية مزرعة شمس األصيل وكيف يبنى املربيني قناعاتهم يف الرتبية عن طريق املامرسة والتجربة والعامل األهم يف هذا العامل الصاخب هو عشق هذا الكائن النبيل واألخالص له ..من ال ميلك الحب لهذا املخلوق قلام ينجح ..فالحب هو أساس تربية الخيول العربية األصيلة ،ومن ميارس شيئا يحبه يبدع فيه ويكون مخلصا له كانت السيدة وجدان كثريا ما تتحدث عن أهتاممها بالخيل وخصوصا األرجل التي تقول عنها أنها أهم شئ يف الحصان يجب أن تكون قوية وسليمة من أجل الركوب ومل تكن تشارك بخيولها يف مسابقات الجامل الخاصة بالخيول العربية املرصية يف كثري من األحيان وكثريا ماتحدثت عن عدم رضائها عن املكياج للخيل وأعتربته تشويه ملالمحه لكنها مل تكن تتأخر عن تلبية اي دعوة لحضور أي فعاليات ومنافسات لعروض الجامل وكان يتم مقابلتها بحفاوة من املربيني ومحبيها قضت السيدة وجدان الرببري أكرث من خمسون عاما يف مزرعتها تهتم بأنتاجها وتسعى لتحسينه مع مايزيد عىل عرشة أجيال من خيول شمس األصيل وجدير بالذكر أن بعض خيولها املميزة تعود اىل الفرس فنار ( نرص الله xبكرة ) التي تم رشاؤها من الهيئة الزراعية املرصية وأحد أهم ممثيل هذا الخط يف مزرعة شمس األصيل ش.أ الهديه وهذا أخر أنتاج الفحل بالل وبالل كان الفحل الرئييس ملزرعة شمس األصيل بل كان الحصان املفضل لدى السيدة وجدان التي قالت لقد كنت محظوظة أن أعيش مع بالل ملدة عرشون عاما غري فيها شكل األنتاج يف مزرعة شمس األصيل وترك العديد من األنتاج املميز

ويأيت بعده الفحل الشهري مسك ابن ( وهاج xنظيمة ) وأبنه "سكر معقود" (مسك xفرح) وفرح هي ابنة الفحل بالل . وأستمرت املسرية بعد ذلك وظهر الحصان املميز "ويل العهد " (بلتاجي xست الحسن)2 الجواد العريب
ومن الشخصيات املؤثرة يف مسرية الحصان العريب املرصي كانت هناك السيدة وجدان الرببري عاشقة الخيول العربية والتي حازت عىل لقب أم املربني وأم الخيول العربية وهي التي قضت حياتها يف مجال تربية الخيل وخدمتها ورعايتها والرفق بها اينام وجدت وبذلك دونت سريتها بأحرف مضيئة يف مسرية الحصان العريب املرصي عىل مدى سنوات عمرها املمتدة ألكرث من مثانون عاما قضت منها مايزيد عىل خمسون عاما يف خدمة الخيول العربية األصيلة مبزرعتها الشهرية "مزرعة شمس األصيل" وهنا يتبادر عىل الذهن اسئلة كثرية ..من تكون وكيف كانت بداياتها مع الخيل عامة والخيول العربية األصيلة خاصة ...وهذا ما سوف نعرفه يف السطور القادمة لنعود يف التاريخ اىل الخلف وتحديدا اىل العرص املليك فرتة حكم امللك فؤاد األول ..وهناك يف مدينة األسكندرية كانت أرستها ...فوالدها هو الدكتور محمد عبود أحد أوائل أطباء العيون حينذاك أما والدتها فقد كانت نصف رشكسية ،فجدتها ألمها رشكسية األصل وكانت سيدة محبة للحيوانات والخيول متتأل بهم حديقة منزلها ..ورمبا من هنا ورثت السيدة وجدان حب الحيوانات عن والدتها وجدتها ..... أما السيدة وجدان فقد ولدت يف مديرية أسيوط حيث كان يعمل والدها يف ذلك الوقت ويقيم هناك وحسب املتعارف عليه كان مولدها عام 1927م وهناك قضت سنوات طفولتها األوىل وكان والدها مهتام بتعليمها فأنتقلت األرسة اىل الجيزة وقام والدها بالحاقها بأحد املدارس الفرنسية حينذاك.ويف الثامنة من عمرها رحلت والدتها عن الحياه .وزاد أهتامم األب بها وأقامت مع جدتها ويف عامها األخري للتخرج من الدراسة تزوجت الدكتور عبد السالم الرببري ومن هنا أكتسبت لقبه الذي الزمها طوال حياتها ..وبعد الزواج وجدت السيدة وجدان أن لديها الكثري من الوقت حيث كان زوجها يعود متأخرا من عمله فقررت البحث مع أصدقائها عن مكان لتعلم الفروسية وبالفعل توصلوا اىل مدرب رويس ميتلك مدرسة لتعليم الفروسية بحي الدقي وعىل أثرها قررت األنتقال لألقامة يف الدقي وأنتظمت يف التدريب معه ومن هنا كانت بدايتها مع رياضة الفروسية وقفز الحواجز ..كانت متارس شئ تحبه متارسه بحب وشغف فأبدعت فيه وتطورت وقد ذكرت يف أحد احاديثها حصانها "جيب" أول حصان قفز اشرتته وارتبطت به بشده كان ذلك يف بدايتها وقد تدربت مع فريق القفز من الضباط والجنود األنجليز والفرنسيني حينذاك وشاركت يف العديد من املنافسات الخاصة بقفز الحواجز كيف كانت البداية مع الخيول العربية وتاريخ مزرعة شمس األصيل يعود تاريخ مزرعة شمس األصيل اىل عام 1963م وهي ثاين أقدم مزرعة يف سجالت الهيئة الزراعية املرصية ومن املزارع املؤثرة يف مسرية الحصان العريب املرصي ،ومن املعروف عن السيدة وجدان عاطفتها الجياشة وعشقها الغري محدود للخيول بصفة عامة والقيام عىل خدمتها ورعايتها وصل بها األمر اىل األشفاق عىل الخيول العاملة يف جر العربات
مبنطقة األهرامات وكم من مرة تتوقف بسيارتها لتعاتب هذا وتنهي ذاك عن القسوة عىل الخيول مام كان يثري تعجب الناس من ترصفها ..وال يفعل ذلك اال من متلك حب الخيل قلبه ...فكيف بخيولها الخاصة ومزرعتها وهي التي تعتربهم ابنائها تقيض كل وقتها يف خدمتهم ورعايتهم استمرت بها الحياة عىل هذا النهج واألجيال تتواىل عليها أجيال خيولها التي كانت ترفض احيانا بيع بعضهم رغم مايعرض عليها من امثان وكان ذلك ألسباب كثرية متعلقه بأرتباطها بهم غري اسباب ندرة النسب وعدم وجود االشقاء من نفس الدماء أو نفس املستوى ،وأجيال من محبيها وتالميذها واملربيني الجدد من الشباب والراغبني يف دخول حقل الرتبية وعشاق الخيول العربية املرصية األصيلة ..ويدين لها الكثري من املربيني بالفضل يف بداياتهم حتى وأن أختلفت الرؤى واألراء والتوجهات بعد ذلك ،إال ان حبال الود واألحرتام والتقدير ظلت عىل عهدها واألعرتاف بالفضل من شيم الفرسان كانت مزرعتها ملتقى للعديد من الفنانني حيث كانت عىل صلة قرابة بالفنان محمد ناجي وهو فنان تشكييل ابن عم لوالدتها ...وكذلك صداقتها املمتدة يف الفروسية مع الفنان أحمدمظهر حتى أنها تقديرا له أطلقت أسم مهرة كان ميلكها عىل أحد املهرات من مواليد مزرعتها وبفضل الخربات التي تكونت لديها وتعلمها الكثري عن الخيول وخدمتها وكونها كانت السيدة الوحيدة يف فريق القفز املرصي حينذاك ..اال أنها وجدت طريقها لرتبية الخيول العربية األصيلة وكانت يف بدايتها قد تلقت العديد من النصائح والتوجيهات من مدير الزهراء يف ذلك الوقت) Tibor von Pettkö-Szandtner( .. كام أنها بحثت يف خيول اسطبالت أنشاص واسطبالت حمدان ايضا وكان أن قررت رشاء ثالث مهاري من الهيئة الزراعية املرصية ليكونوا ضمن برنامج مزرعة شمس األصيل ..وتنطلق السيدة وجدان يف تطبيق فلسفتها يف الرتبية مع خيولها وطريقتها يف أقتناء الخيول ..وكان لها وجهة نظر خاصة تتحدث عنها دامئا وتسميها فلسفة أقتناء الجياد رسدتها يف حوار طويل مع الفارس الكبري حسام رستم ..فتقول : وأصبحت ال أقتنى جواد إال إذا أحببته ونظرت ىف عينيه وجبهته وتبادلت معه مشاعر اإلعجاب والحب وعندئذ تتولد عندى الرغبة ىف االقتناء ..وهذه هى أول القواعد التى يجب أن يتمسك بها املربني ..بل يجب أن ينحو جانباً املؤثرات االقتصادية ..وأن يكونوا عىل يقني من أنه ال يوجد جواد كامل األوصاف مائة ىف املائة بل أنه كام أن لكل جواد مزايا غالبة فإنه بالتأكيد توجد بعض العيوب وأن مل تكن ظاهرة ..وهنا تظهر األمانة التاريخية عند املربني والتى تحتم عليهم دقة االنتخاب ونزع األنانية من أنفسهم وأن يضعوا نصب أعينهم الهدف السامى األكرب وهو الرغبة ىف التحسني من خالل األمانة التى ميلكونها .. إنك إذا أحببت جوادك بشغف ستسعى جاهدا ً ألن تنحى ىف أجياله القادمة عيوبه الحالية وستبذل كل الجهد الختيار منهج انتخاىب يضيف املزيد من املزايا التى تفتقر لها جيادك .. هذا األمر ينطبق متاماً عىل أب األرسة والذى وهبه لله ولدا ً مشاكساً وشقياً ولكنه يحبه وال ميكنه التخلص منه بل أن يسعى جاهدا ً إلعادة تقوميه وإصالحه .وهذا ما يجب أن يفعله املربون ..أال يتخلصوا من جيادهم العربية ملجرد أنها ليست من صفوة الخيول حيث أن مشاعر حبهم لجيادهم البد وأن تكون أقوى ماليني املرات من الرغبة ىف التبديل وأن يكون إرصارهم عىل تحسني نتائجهم هو الهدف الرئيىس. ومن هذا املنطلق قد يتضح لنا ملاذا كانت دامئا ما تحتفظ بأجيال خيولها قدر املستطاع حتى لتجد يف مزرعتها خيول من كل األجيال رمبا حتى الجيل العارش ومابعده ،هي مسرية عمر ورحلة حياة وحب وعشق للخيول العربية املرصية األصيلة لنستمع اليها كيف قامت بتطبيق تلك الفلسفة مع خيولها خالل مسريتها تقول السيدة وجدان : ولقد كانت بدايتى ىف اقتناء الخيل لثالث مهارى اشرتيتهم من الهيئة منذ أكرث من خمسني عاماً ومل أطلق عليهم ألىن كنت أبحث عن جواد أحبه أوالً ..حتى شغف قلبى بالجواد "سكر" وهو عرىب ولكن مل يكن مختوماً ..وبالفعل أطلقته عليهم ألنه كان طلوقة يحمل صفات جاملية نادرة ،حتى وقعت عيناى عىل جواد عرىب مختوم اسمه "صاىف" أشقر اللون ومدرب لألدب وكان غاية ىف الجامل ولقد حاولت رشاؤه من أصحابه وعرض مثناً عالياً ..وعندما حاولت رشاؤه بعدها مبدة حدد ىل مثناً أقل ..وقمت باستشارة الدكتور املرصفى والذى أشار عىل برضورة عمل اختبار لخصوبة الجواد ..إال أن أصحابه رفضوا !!.. وإن كنت قد حزنت قليالً إال أن الدكتور املرصفى فاجأىن بأن هذا الجواد له أخ ىف الهيئة لونه أزرق واسمه (بالل) ولكن ليس للبيع حيث أنه محجوز للزهراء ..وذهبت للزهراء ملشاهدة الطالئق وأنا ال أعرف أسامئها وإذا ىب أنظر إىل أحد الطالئق وأرى ىف عينيه ذكا ًء متوهجاً وطلعة لها تأثري قوى عىل محبى الخيول وأرشت عليه للدكتور املرصفى ..هذا ما أحبه وهذا وهذا ما أريده ..ولكنه أجاب
