You’ll find these offers and promotions in-store, on our website at alivepharmacy.com.au, or on Facebook @alivepharmacywarehouse.

While the last couple of months of the year are a time for celebration and fun, it’s important to stay on top of your health and immunity. Here are a few key health considerations for this time of year:

• Di etary overindulgence can lead to reflux, heartburn, weight gain, and changes in bowel movements. It’s important to maintain a balanced diet and practise moderation, especially if you have existing health conditions like high blood pressure or diabetes.

• S tress and mental health can take a hit due to financial pressures, family dynamics, hosting duties, and high expectations. Monitor your stress levels to prevent bigger concerns such as anxiety or depression. Take time for self-care and seek support when needed.

• A lcohol consumption during celebrations can quickly escalate. Be mindful of how much you drink and make thoughtful choices.

• P hysical activity often declines during the festive season, disrupting routines. While it’s fine to take breaks and prioritise time with loved ones, an extended break can make it harder to return to regular habits. Try to include some physical activity each day to keep moving.

• C hanges to your sleep routine can affect your mood, immune system, and overall wellbeing. Ensure you rest regularly to avoid burnout and make the most of social gatherings.

Our trained pharmacists are available for consultations about a range of everyday health concerns and can guide you in the right direction if you’re facing any of the above challenges. Speak to your local Alive Pharmacy pharmacist about getting a referral for a consultation today. We can offer treatment advice and even prescribe medicines. With GPs likely to be busy over the next couple of months, visiting your pharmacist is a convenient alternative.

We’ve recently launched a new software system in our pharmacies and really appreciate your support and patience as we navigate these changes. The goal is to enhance our operational efficiency and further improve customer service. So far, the rollout has gone smoothly, thanks to our team’s professionalism and enthusiasm for supporting one another.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season as we approach Christmas!

GET PREPPED FOR SUMMER BEAUTY

It’s almost summertime, and we can’t wait! Plus, our Christmas stock has started arriving in stores, which means there are plenty of new products to explore.

In the world of cosmetics, summer calls for lightweight products and long-lasting formulas. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, attending outdoor events, or simply enjoying a sunny day, take a look at some of our favourite products right now!

LIGHTWEIGHT FOUNDATION OR BB CREAMS

Full coverage foundations can feel heavier and thicker on a hot, humid day. Sweat might also cause thicker foundations to become clumpy and clog pores. Lighter formulas and BB creams provide a more comfortable coverage and allow skin to breathe. Cast your eyes over the product label for ‘oil-free’, these foundations are designed to prevent extra shine on hotter days. BB also offer extra skin hydration and often SPF protection.

WATERPROOF PRODUCTS

Summer activities often involve lounging by the pool and getting a little sweaty. Waterproof products ensure your makeup stays intact, no matter the conditions. Waterproof mascaras are a must when it comes to water. They will keep your lashes looking lush for longer, without the smudge.

SUNSCREEN

Protect you skin! It’s as simple as that. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen under your daily makeup routine.

COLOUR!

Summer is the perfect time to play with vibrant colours and reflect the season’s carefree vibe. Experiment with different eyeshadows, glosses, nail colours, and even hair colours. There are many products to test and try, and you just might find a new favourite in the process.

SETTING SPRAYS AND POWDERS

A good setting spray and powder will combat shine and ensure longevity. During summer, you can swap a liquid foundation for a powder to avoid a shiny finish or sweaty makeup look. Powders are also a good alternative for people with acne prone skin as they are often gentler on the skin and cause less breakouts.

Try: MCoBeauty’s Miracle Hyaluronic Tinted Serum or Miracle BB Cream Light 30ml
Try: Nude By Nature Mineral Powders
Try: Maybelline’s Waterproof Mascara Range
Try: La Roche Posay Anthelios Range
Try: Rimmel, Sally Hansen or Schwarzkopf Ranges
