SPATIO-TEMPORAL COLLAGE + NARRATIVE 100 WORD NARRATIVE (Activity: Debate)
The One and the Other are separated by the void. Both tell the other to jump over the void, yet both refuse. The One is from the World of Cowards, who likes to bluff and lie. The One does not want to jump, for fear of dying, simply says “my world is better than yours, come.” The Other is from the World of Anxiety, fearing of all negative possibilities. The Other does not want to jump either, and proclaims the many scenarios where one could lose their life, whilst jumping. Both throw words back and forth, yet not one jumps.

EXPERIENCE COLLAGE
Using timber as my main material, I wanted to emphasise that with the imprints from my spatio-temporal collage, where my cartoon characters have become abstract forms on the cladding, and speech bubbles becoming the furniture, highlighting my debate activity.

Full Site Section nts Timber was my chosen material and is seen as the cladding with hardwood and bamboo on the curvatures and furnitures. This project is inspired by the lack of conversation within the site, and thus named the ‘Convo Pavillion’. The structure is based off my assemblage model and the speech bubbles form the ‘convo pods’ or bamboo chairs, which allow for space of conversation. The void is also taken from my spatio-temporal collage, to break apart the landscaape, but also link to my narrative of 2 people debating from each side. A footbridge is added for access across the site.
