“If you’re fond of sand dunes and salty air, quaint little villages here and there, you’re sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod.” Those words, made famous by Patti Page nearly 70 years ago, still capture the spirit of this special place I’m so lucky to call home. Cape Cod has a way of weaving itself into your heart—whether it’s the endless ocean views, the fresh-off-the-boat seafood, or the warm welcome you feel from every village you visit.
As you begin planning your next group trip, I’d love for you to see Cape Cod through the eyes of a local, like myself. Here, world-class beaches meet charming main streets filled with boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants serving everything from award-winning clam chowder to inventive coastal cuisine. Our 15 distinctive towns each have their own character—some steeped in history, others buzzing with creative energy, all ready to welcome your guests.
Beyond the beauty, the Cape is alive with experiences your travelers will remember for years to come—whale watching, lighthouse tours, museums, award-winning golf, kayaking, biking, fishing charters, brewery visits, and even day trips to Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket.
This Group Tour Planner is designed to make it easy for you to craft an unforgettable itinerary. Inside, you’ll find inspiration, resources, and contacts to help you create a Cape Cod adventure your group will never forget.
I hope you’ll use this guide as your compass, and that soon you’ll be here with your travelers, breathing in that salty air and making memories on our shores.
Come discover the unique experiences that make Cape Cod truly remarkable. Truly magical. And truly yours.
Warmly,
Amanda Catania

What is it about “The Cape” that keeps attracting new visitors and calling others to return again and again? In addition to historical significance and quaint byways, the 15 towns of Barnstable County that make up Cape Cod each showcase unique beauty and character. The towns are loosely grouped into four geographic regions. Beginning at the Cape Cod Canal in the town of Bourne, the Upper Cape also includes Falmouth, Sandwich, and Mashpee. Next comes the Mid-Cape area, made up of Barnstable, Yarmouth, and Dennis, followed by the Lower Cape’s Brewster, Harwich, and Chatham. Continuing above the “elbow,” you’ll find Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown, which make up the Outer Cape.

Known as the gateway to Cape Cod, the town of Bourne is bordered by the Cape Cod Canal and Buzzards Bay. Bike paths run along both sides of the canal for about eight miles between the Sagamore and Bourne bridges, making it a popular spot for running, biking, canal cruises and fishing.
Picturesque Falmouth is famous for its quaint Main Street and the crystal-clear waters of Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound. The town is the closest mainland point to Martha’s Vineyard, accessible by ferry from both Falmouth Harbor and the bustling seaside village of Woods Hole, a world-renowned oceanic research hub.
History thrives in Sandwich, Cape Cod’s oldest town, from its historic Town Hall Square to the 1654 Dexter Grist Mill by Shawme Pond. Sandwich’s Glass Town Cultural District includes galleries, potters, glassblowers and museums, all within walking distance of the center. It’s also home to Heritage Museums & Gardens, Southern New England’s largest public garden.
The town of Mashpee offers miles of ocean beaches, freshwater ponds, and a world-class golf course. Year-round events take place at the sidewalk-lined Mashpee Commons, an open air shopping center. Each July, the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe’s annual Powwow draws crowds for a vibrant celebration of Native American culture.

Barnstable boasts seven villages, each with its own unique charm. Hyannis, the largest, is Cape Cod’s commercial and transportation hub, welcoming planes, trains, buses and Island ferries. Its Main Street is a lively, walkable downtown filled with shops, galleries and restaurants. Barnstable’s six other villages offer classic Cape Cod charm—shady lanes, beach roses, pine trees and weathered shingles. Hyannisport is famous as the summer home of President John F. Kennedy and his family.
Yarmouth stretches from Cape Cod Bay to Nantucket Sound and features three distinctive villages. Yarmouth Port, along historic Route 6A, charms with antique shops and galleries. West and South Yarmouth are more bustling, with Route 28 lined by hotels, restaurants, shops, and miniature golf.
Stately sea captains’ houses and artists’ studios add to the allure of the town of Dennis. South Dennis serves as the town’s commercial hub, while in West Dennis and Dennis Port you will find sandy beaches, oceanfront dining and classic seaside motels.

We love buses!
Tidbits, helpful hints and safety tips for drivers and escorts
Cape Cod is an iconic destination made up of 15 towns, unique main streets, narrow lanes and byways.
• Never drop off on a main street. This causes traffic disruptions and dangerous safety situations.
• Never drop off on the left side of any street.
• Never drop off in a fire lane or commercial loading zone.
Many of our communities have dedicated parking maps that allow for appropriate drop-offs and pickups. Please ask us. These designated areas are generally used to keep traffic flow smooth in busy locations and avoid gridlock with buses waiting for their passengers. Don’t let your engine idle for more than five minutes.
Dropping off – Many towns here have dedicated dropoff spots, and 15 minutes is allowed to load and unload passengers. Then the motorcoach can be moved to a designated parking spot or lot.
Staging – Think of this as the waiting time between the bus departing for its destination and when passengers board the bus. Staging areas are where your bus driver will temporarily wait before moving on to the loading area to pick up your group.
Loading – Loading time begins when passengers begin to board the bus. We have designated areas designated for the pickup of passengers, which shouldn’t be used for long-term parking or staging. Loading zones in busy areas generally have a time limit of 15 minutes.
