Aquatic & Leisure Centre

In conjunction with World Drowning Prevention Day on Sunday 25 July, Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre will be offering FREE ‘Introduction to Water’ sessions for parents with babies under 6 months old.

These short 20 minute sessions will run in the afternoon and are aimed at teaching parents how to safely introduce their children to water.

Topics will include conditioning, back floating, how to hold your baby in the water, as well as highlighting the benefits of regular swimming lessons and water exposure.

Sessions will be for one parent and child with 10 spots open. Entry to the session is free, normal pool entry fees apply.

Bookings remain open for our school holiday Learn to Swim Intensives. Intensives are a great way to keep the kids active over school holidays while accellerating skill development with one class everyday for 5 days. Intensives are aimed at school aged children from Courage 4 and above. Intensives will be held 5-9 July & 12-16 July. Cost is $95 for 5 lessons, bookings are essential.
