2024 Masters Games

The countdown is on for the 2024 Alice Springs Masters Games with excitement building each and every day!

The ‘Games with Heart’ will return with a bang in 2024, bringing people from across Australia back to the Red Centre for a week-long festival of sport.

To support volunteers in running the event, NT Major Events Company (NTMEC) will host two workshops in August. These workshops will serve as a platform for volunteers to enhance their skills, understand event dynamics, and equip themselves to handle the unique challenges posed by such a large-scale event. They will also help build the capacity of local sports volunteers generally.

“We’re excited to be bringing the Alice Springs Masters Games back next year, and working closely with the local sports organisations is a vital part of this,” NTMEC CEO Suzana Bishop said.

“These development sessions will help us help the sports to build capacity and upskill in key areas such as marketing, event delivery, and attracting and retaining volunteers.

“The sessions are for anyone from local sports clubs and organisations to attend, and they will be able to learn from experts in the various areas. The workshops will offer practical information and advice, and provide a series of take-home tools and templates.”

The two workshops will be:
