Steve, Worcestershire Growing up, we had an extremely naughty Staffie called Roady. He would eat pretty much anything given to him but seemed to have a stomach of iron. His first trip to the vets as a pup was because he had eaten an 18-inch long rubber tube and needed to have emergency surgery. Another time, after a long day at work, my mum bought our dad a kebab for his tea. Famished as he was, dad had literally just put the fork to his mouth as the doorbell went. The plate went down, but Roady was (thankfully) on his bed. In the time it took my dad to answer the door and come back through the hall, Roady had completely obliterated the plate full of food. Dad said it was even funnier because of the way Roady’s legs were moving faster than ever but they just slipped on the carpet in cartoon fashion.

We had a client claim that the reason her cat kept getting sick was because it was urinating on mothballs and that the urine added to the mothballs was making meth, so the cat was high. – vet.

We were asked to perform a private cremation for a cat's tail after he had a tail amputation.

Our dog Bailee Boo is a golden retriever, a black lab and German shepherd mix. She loves lollipops. One day, she came with us to the SUV and we had to run into the store for something and left her in the car with it running. One of the kids had bought a bunch of these naturalflavored strawberry suckers. We get back in the car and we hear this sucking noise, and I turned around and said, "Bailee" and she popped her head up from the back seat with a sucker hanging out of her mouth. She was sucking on it. It was so funny to see her with it hanging out of her mouth! She loves them. She loves Halloween because of the lollipops.

She is a very special dog to us. She was run over by a big SUV when she was 5 months old, and the vet said he had never seen a dog with such will to live and be so loyal to her family. She had a dislocated hip, bruised uterus and internal bleeding, broken ribs, etc. She was on oxygen for

three days and survived it all, and she has a wonderful personality. Loves to lie upside down and smile. She shakes both paws, high fives, sits pretty and will sneeze. — Joanne Cottam of Nestor Falls, Ontario, Canada.

Chris, Oxford Our old dog was too lazy to walk from the living room to the back door so he used to jump in and out the living room window. This was fine until he forgot where he was and jumped out of my sister’s second-floor window. Luckily he managed to land on the roof and sat there shaking like a leaf until we were able to get a ladder and rescue him.

One morning my crazy basset hound got out of the house, ran across the street, and peed on a little girl's backpack while she was waiting for the bus. - Annie Elliott.

My beagle, Denny Crane, once smelled an animal on my block and was so determined to chase after it that he broke through and jumped out of a window on the third floor of my parent's house the night before I had a physics final. While I was crying hysterically, as I believed he was dead, my father had to chase him down. When I took him to the ER, the vet said all he had was a chipped tooth! - Amanda Kohut.

We had a client bring in a cat to be neutered. He asked if, prior to the surgery, we could place his cat in a kennel with a female cat for one final.... Our sharp receptionist politely responded with, "I'm sorry sir, but we no longer offer that service." – vet.

He ate an entire rack of cooked pork ribs and got to visit the vet. They gave him three different medicines to make him puke, but he kept his prize down. The staff resorted to playing helicopter with him, which he thought was a wonderful game. It took the entire veterinary staff spinning him for about 20 minutes for him to give it up.
