CREATIVE MOVEMENT
THE BODY IN MOTION IS AN EXPRESSION OF FREEDOM, TRANSFORMATION, AND PURE ENERGY FLOWING THROUGH SPACE AND TIME.
CREATIVE MOVEMENT IS A PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT THAT EXPLORES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BODY AND IMAGE, PRESENCE AND DISSOLUTION, MATTER AND SPIRIT. THROUGH A SERIES OF SELF-PORTRAITS, IT SEEKS TO CAPTURE THE FLEETING NATURE OF GESTURES, THE EVANESCENCE OF FORM, AND THE SENSATION OF AN EXISTENCE THAT ESCAPES AND RECREATES ITSELF IN EVERY INSTANT.
MOVEMENT BECOMES A LANGUAGE, AN INVISIBLE TRACE THAT LEAVES ITS MARK ONLY IN THE MOMENT IT DISSOLVES. A CREATIVE ACT THAT ALLOWS US TO TRANSCEND THE BOUNDARIES OF OUR OWN CORPOREALITY, TRANSFORMING IT INTO PURE EXPRESSION.
LAURA VIOLETA DIMA
Laura Violeta Dima was born in Romania in 1998 and has lived in Calabria since 2007. She studied linguistics, dance, and music, developing an interdisciplinary vision that is reflected in her art. In 2022, she graduated in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro, where she is currently continuing her studies in Illustration. Her work explores the body, movement, and the perception of reality, with a focus on the fleeting nature of human existence.
She has participated in several exhibitions and artist residencies, including:
