At the Charles Darwin Research Station, gain insight into the huge efforts being made by scientists, guides, rangers and park managers to preserve this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day begins with a panga ride through saltwater inlets frequented by sea turtles, sharks and rays on Black Turtle Cove.

MUST FEEL The Warm Chilean Summer Chile is counter-seasonal, so its seasons are reversed when compared to countries in the northern hemisphere such as the United States and Canada.

Take advantage of this fortunate reversal by escaping winter’s chill and visiting during Chile’s summertime, specifically between December and February. It’s the best time to visit Patagonia.

Temperatures during these months are generally warmer, and trails are more accessible. The months of November, March and April tend to have cooler temperatures but less wind.
