Hazrat Abu Hurairahra reported that Allah’s Messengersa said, “Angels alternate in shifts among you, those by night and those by day, and they convene at the times of the morning (Fajr) and afternoon (Asr) prayers. Those who have been with you through the night then ascend, and their Lord, who is fully aware of their state, inquires, ‘How did you leave My servants?’ They respond, ‘We departed from them while they were praying, and we approached them while they were praying.’” (Sahih al-Bukhari, kitab at-tawhid, Bab kalam ar-rabbi ma‘a jibrila wa nida’illahi l-mala’ikah, Hadith 7486)
