I‘tikaf
َ َ َ ّٰ َ ﻋ ْﻦ َ�ﺎ�ِﺸﺔ ـ رﺿﻰ ا��� ﻋﻨﻬﺎ ـ ز ْو ِج َّ ّٰ ّ َ َّ َّ َ ّ �ّ �ِ اﻟﻨ اﻟﻨ ِ� ِّ� ﺻﻠﻰ ا��� �ﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ أن ُ َ َْ َ َ ّ ّٰ ّ ﻜﻒ ِ ﺻﻠﻰ ا��� �ﻠﻴﻪ وﺳﻠﻢ �ﺎن ﻳﻌﺘ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ ََ َ ْ َْ ﺎن َﺣ ّﺘﻰ اﺧﺮ ِﻣﻦ رﻣﻀ ِ اﻟﻌ�� ا��و ْ َّ ُ ّ ٰ ُ َّ َ َ ُ اﻋ َﺘ َﻜ َﻒ أ َ ْز َو اﺟ ُﻪ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﺛﻢ،���ﺗﻮﻓﺎه ا .ﺑ َ ْﻌ ِﺪ ِه
It is narrated by Hazrat Aishara, the wife of the Holy Prophetsa, that, “The Prophetsa used to practise i‘tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan till he passed away and then his wives used to practise i‘tikaf after him.” (Sahih alBukhari, Kitab al-i‘tikaf, Hadith 2026)

The sick and those on a journey must not fast It was enquired of the Promised Messiahas what the instruction was in relation to fasting whilst on a journey. The Promised Messiahas responded by saying: “As far as the Quran teaches, we learn:
