Jack was always the life of the party, the energy in the room and was loved by everyone. He was a talented footballer and had just started an apprenticeship, and had his whole life in front of him. Tragically on the 13th of December 2019, 17-year-old Jack was fatally stabbed in Surfers Paradise in a senseless act of violence

In the aftermath, Jack’s family and friends came together with a mission: to prevent other families from experiencing such a devastating loss.

The Jack Beasley Foundation’s primary focus is on delivering knife crime education and advocating for crucial changes in security, detection, and youth laws. They believe that by raising awareness, educating our youth, and pushing for legislative reform, they can help prevent the kind of violence that claimed Jack’s life.

At the heart of their efforts is the One Moment Education Program, an initiative led by Jack’s parents, Belinda and Brett. Through this program, they visit schools to share Jack’s story, educating students on the dangers of carrying a knife and the profound, long-term impact of youth violence—not just on victims, but on offenders, their families, and communities.

Through education and change, a difference will be made and Jack’s legacy will live on.
