Nimbus

Nimbus investeert in de Europese industriële mid-market. De investeringsmaatschappij streeft naar een meerderheidsbelang en/of management control in bedrijven die op de drempel van grote veranderingen staan. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld gaan om productontwikkeling, productiemethode of efficiency. Daarbij staat de investeerder zich erop voor om hands-on ondersteuning te bieden. De aanpak bestaat uit financiële back-up, expertise en support van het management. Het team heeft ruime ervaring met turn-arounds, carve-outs en familiebedrijven. Portfoliobedrijven hebben doorgaans een sterke positie, maar zijn niet per se marktleider. Nimbus heeft kantoren in Zeist, München en Leeds.

Partner +31 (0)30 697 1410 gjh@nimbus.com Marc Renne voerde zijn eerste management buy-in uit in 1989. Een tweede MBI volgde in 1991. 6 jaar later werd dit bedrijf verkocht. Na de verkoop van het tweede bedrijf, werd hij directeur business development bij Geveke. Hier was hij verantwoordelijk voor de algemene strategie van de onderneming en alle M&A-activiteiten. Na een korte periode bij een private-equitybedrijf werd hij in 2001 derde partner bij Nimbus.

Gert Jan Hubers

Gert Jan Hubers kwam, na een periode als consultant voor Booz Allen Hamilton, bij de Wolters Schaberg Group terecht. Hier was hij verantwoordelijk voor diverse turnarounds in industrie en retail. Daarna richtte hij motoronderdelenbedrijf Gietburg Holding op. Naast zijn werk voor Gietburg Holding is hij partner in Nimbus. Hij is actief betrokken bij de managementteams van enkele portfoliobedrijven.

Dirk Deneer

Investment Manager +31 (0)30 697 1410 dd@nimbus.com Ed van Dijk studeerde mechanical engineering aan de TU Delft en behaalde zijn MBA aan INSEAD in Frankrijk. Hij begon zijn carrière bij Shell International en kwam uiteindelijk bij Gilde terecht. Hij gaf leiding aan de management buy-in van Gerfa Rex. De herstructurering van dit bedrijf luidde de start in van Nimbus. Naast zijn directiewerk voor Nimbus biedt hij nog altijd hands-on expertise aan portfoliobedrijven.

Paul Frohn studied business economics and accountancy. He worked at Akzo Nobel Coatings as controller and sales manager, and later as general manager. He has headed workforces ranging from 10 to 250 people and built up considerable international experience in. Paul combines a good understanding of accounts with an affinity for commerce and an enjoyment of dealing with people. Although an all-rounder, he has always had a particular interest in business strategy and organization.

Alexander de Haas studied business administration and attained his MBA at INSEAD. He joined the M&A department of Rabobank, where he gained a lot of experience by executing numerous cross-border deals. After that he joined Phoenix, an investment company, where he assessed opportunities which led to the execution of over 25 acquisitions, exits or wind-downs. Alexander enjoys working with management teams, using his commercial, financial and restructuring experience to increase efficiency and performance.

Jonno Beugels studied business economics at the University of Amsterdam. He then worked in various international roles at (Smurfit) Kappa Packaging Group, first in strategic sourcing and later as a financial analyst, where he contributed to the acquisition and integration of the Assi Domän group. Jonno has been actively involved in restructuring processes both in Italy and in Holland. He enjoys working with local teams at all levels, using his experience to increase efficiency and performance.

Dirk Deneer graduated from the University of Amsterdam receiving a MSc in Business Economics. After his study he joined Robert W. Baird’s investment banking team in London. Dirk provided analytical and execution support on European and transatlantic mergers and acquisitions as well as other financial advisory services. Combining his background, his valuable M&A experience and his ability to interact at all organisational levels, Dirk works on the full scope of Nimbus’ activities.
