The Medtronic Sleep Surgery Course is a lecture-based, hands-on workshop for practicing otolaryngologists. This course will provide a review and update on recent advances in the surgical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea and snoring. Course faculty will share their medical and surgical expertise through didactic lectures. Under faculty supervision, participants will be able to practice these procedures on well-preserved cadavers.

M. Boyd Gillespie, MD, MSc, FACS Professor, Department of OtolaryngologyHead & Neck Surgery, Medical University of South Carolina Dr. Gillespie is the director of the MUSC Snoring Clinics and a surgical consultant to the MUSC Sleep Disorders Center.

Michael R. Abidin, MD Founder of Metropolitan ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery of Alexandria, Virginia.

Dr. Abidin has performed several hundred tongue-based procedures, including the mandibular hyoid suspension and has refined this technique.
