2 With the technology we’ve become accustomed to, the Oxford Dictionary of Psychology

defines socialization as the process, beginning in infancy, where one acquires the attitudes, values, beliefs, habits, and behavior patterns, and accumulated knowledge of one society in modification of one's society…and modification of one’s behavior to conform with the demands of the society or group to which one belongs (Aiken, 2017, p. 37). While exploring digital spaces, communication styles may impact many online individuals’ perceptions and levels of trustworthiness. By revolutionizing communication, cyber-socialization happens much more quickly because we are hyper-connected (Aiken, 2017, p. 37). Interestingly, major approaches to technology consider aspects of trust and how quickly practitioners and developers can distinguish a range of online personas with the expected rise of cybercrime.

Technologies including artificial intelligence adequately assist different communities and utilize computing resources. This helps increase engagement and efficiency while helping individuals build successful relationships with others. AI is a technological breakthrough in software development—unlocked by the amount of accessible data, increased computation power, and advanced algorithms—that vastly improves the ability of computer systems to make accurate predictions, optimize decision-making, enable voice as an input source for computing, identify and access digital images, and translate between languages (Matilda Bez & Chesbrough, 2020). Both individuals and companies emphasize the need for ethical, explainable, and trustworthy AI (McCausland, 2021). Optimistically, this suggests a world in which AI manages to build trust and drives prolonged economic growth that (Euchner, 2019) can benefit individuals in cyberspace. There are some indications that on the other end of the spectrum, one could describe a future where cyber-attacks and a loss of trust in intelligent systems lead to information

warfare and global recession (Euchner, 2019). Experts from disciplines such as psychology, philosophy, economics, finance, sociology, public policy, and law to discuss, provide guidance, and support objective third-party studies on emerging issues related to the impact of AI on society (Wanless, 2016). For achieving greater knowledge and efficiency, these professionals take translational and phenomenological approaches to strategically collaborate and address incidents to limit the spread of misinformation. Adding to this, it is important to identify online accessibility issues for vulnerable/disability populations. From a cybersecurity aspect, identity access management can be useful for individuals to establish trust. Importantly, identity access management is essentially guidelines or policies that a company puts in place to assure that the right people have the right level of access to certain tools or information (Tedrick, 2020, pp. 43– 100). Additionally, blockchain technology can help her move some of the anxiety of doing business with people who may not know very well (Tedrick, 2020, pp. 43–100) and help establish trust for a range of individuals who share common goals and objectives when in online communities.

Online, these social norms can theoretically be easily avoided through supposedly anonymous online self-presentation to more easily present a judgment that may not be morally reconcilable with a person’s core self (Atrill-Smith et al., 2019, p. 31). Offline, most of our moral judgments and behaviors are constrained by social norms of acceptable behavior (Atrill-Smith et al., 2019, p. 31). Both morals and social norms shape a person in any given situation regardless of whether this is online or offline. To establish trust, the flexibility and convenience of digital communication require researchers and companies to observe social behavior through popular methods of communication.

4 In summary, to increase the efficiency of functional efforts, nine architecture-by-design

principles include evolvability, scalability, observability, trust, sentience, usage for all, operational excellence, security and privacy (McCausland, 2021). Above all, by considering psychological safety’s role in developmental research, we may gain new insights about ways to create contexts that increase the likelihood that individuals feel psychologically safe to engage, learn, and develop (Thorgren & Caiman, 2019). Digital leaders’ enduring human traits outweigh any technological proficiencies they may have (McCausland, 2021). With technology transforming faster than people can imagine, it is important to develop campaigns that build relationships and establish trust, while advocating for and educating online participants. This suggests that shared environments, both online and in-person, provide exceptional opportunities for refinement and social connectivity across groups.
