Project Designer at a small, full-service firm that focuses on single-family homes, boutique hospitality projects, and preservation in the greater Austin area. Currently gaining invaluable experience that varies from day to day, which can include creating feasibility proposals for design problems, developing documentation for city permitting through to construction, and collaborating with consultants during construction administration of ongoing projects. Other responsibilities range from carrying schematic designs through to 3D modeling and detailed design documentation, leading client meetings to present all forms of media showcasing the project, and weekly site visits to ensure that construction is aligned with the design intent. During my first month, developed and maintained a standard drawing system across the office with AutoCAD for better efficiency and consistency throughout the firm’s practices.
