Fragmento del Manifiesto Cubista

El manifiesto cubista fue escrito por Guillaume Apollinaire en 1913; en él menciona:

Las virtudes plásticas: la pureza, la unidad y la verdad tienen bajo si a la naturaleza domada Pero el pintor debe, ante todo, representarse su divinidad, y los cuadros que ofrece a la admiración de los hombres le concederán la gloria de ejercer momentáneamente su propia divinidad.

Para eso es necesario abarcar con una mirada el pasado, el presente y el futuro.

La visión será entera, completa y su infinito, en lugar de señalar una imperfección, solo hará remontarse la relación de una nueva criatura con un nuevo creador, y nada mas.

Nos encaminamos así hacia un arte completamente nuevo que será para la pintura, tal como fue considerada hasta ahora, lo que la música es para la literatura.

Los pintores que pertenecen a esta tendencia son: Picasso, cuyo arte luminoso se relaciona también con la otra corriente pura del cubismo; Georges Braque, Metzinger, Albert Gleizes, la señorita Laurencin y Juan Gris.

Sin los poetas y los artistas, los hombres se aburrirían pronto de la monotonía natural. La idea sublime que tienen del universo se derrumbaría con una rapidez vertiginosa.(…). The Cubism manifesto was written by Guillaume Apollinaire in 1913; in which he talks about:

But the artist must, before anything else, represent his individuality, and the paintings he offers to be admired by men will grant the glory for him to exercise his own divinity.

In order to do that it is necessary to take a look at the past, the present, and the future.

The vision will be whole, completed and its infinity, other than pointing out an imperfection, it would only create the relationship to the new creature and the nre creator.

We are walking to a completely new era of art that will be for the paint, just like how it was considered until now, just like how the music is with literature.

The painters who are part of this tendency are: Picasso, whos are was luminous and was related with the current of Cubism; Georges Braque, Metzinger, Albert Gleizes, Miss Laurencin and Juan Gris.

Without the poets and the artist, the men would be bored of the natural momontonia. The subtle idea that they have of the universe will collapse with a fast vertiginous.
