When I was a freshman last year, I had no clue what club I should join. There were many options to pick from, but I knew I wanted to join one. As I was look at what clubs my school offered, I saw one name that stood out, Key Club. I went to the meeting not knowing anyone, but was greeted by the officers and members there. I felt welcomed and less nervous than before. I joined last year not knowing how much I would fall in love with this organization; I'm very happy I made that decision. I got to do all kinds of services events during my freshman year. I even got to go to DCON for the first time ever. It was nothing I have ever been to. Now I’m a sophomore and this being my second year in Key Club. My experience being in this club has been nothing less than amazing. I have made a close bond with my fellow officers and members. I have gotten to help all kinds of people in our community. We worked together with other clubs for services event. We also have met extraordinary people who are trying to give back to the community like us. I learned many lessons from these people. When talking to them, it shows me that anyone can make a change and this is what Key Club means to me. Key Club is where anyone can help our community and make a different. Being a teenager, you think you can’t do much, but you can. It doesn’t matter if the services we do is something small, we can help. And it not just Texas and Oklahoma making a change, it's a worldwide student led organization. We are teenagers making the orld a little better than before. How awesome is that!
