February Highlights

Night to Shine

February was surely an unforgettable month! This month we had two major events. The first was Night to Shine! Key Club was so honored to attend to this special occasion and share this night with the attendees. We got to stand along side the red carpet and cheer for the people coming in to the prom. It was such an exciting night, seeing how ecstatic everyone was. Everyone was so well dressed, and they all looked so good. The attendees arrived in party buses, and limos for that night. I hope next year more people attend and we go again! I know I don't want to miss it!

Mardi Gras Parade

Our next event was the Mardi Gras parades. The parade was on February 17th. We got there and were introduced to everyone we were going to be helping. Later on they gave us neon safety vest, considering the event was going to happen during the night. After that they instructed us on our roles. While the float would move our members had to walk alongside it. Making sure no little kids would run up to close, and kick the beads that were too close to the tires away. The people on the float were so nice and welcoming. They made sure to give us some bling as well! It was so fun to serve with my fellow members, friends, and people around my community.
