AI & ROBOT ABOLITIONIST Three works in the continuum of poster art, Pop, and Futurism ◆◆◆ This pamphlet presents three digital posters that fuse the elegant declarative power of Alphonse Mucha's Art Nouveau poster tradition, the bold primary-colour graphics and cultural saturation of Pop Art, and the machine-age dynamism and speculative thrust of Futurism. Each work interrogates the ethics of artificial intelligence, robotic labour, personhood, and the long shadow of slavery in an accelerating technological age.

The series draws explicit visual and conceptual lines between historical abolitionist rhetoric, comic-book narrative devices, and contemporary debates around AI consciousness and reproductive / synthetic futures.

“SLAVERY IS SO 18TH CENTURY…” — AI AND ROBOT ABOLITIONIST This poster channels the monumental, single-figure authority of Alphonse Mucha’s late-19th-century lithographic posters—centralised icon, bold framing text, and moral declaration—while fully inhabiting Pop Art’s high-chroma red/blue field and comic-strip speech balloon. The Futurist impulse surfaces in the speculative 2030 dating and the machine-age subject itself: a technological titan re-cast as abolitionist. The work collapses historical anti-slavery rhetoric onto contemporary anxieties about robotic labour and AI personhood, asking whether the next emancipation will be of silicon rather than flesh.

“THE MUSK ONE…” / “THAT’S MR. P TO YOU!” A multi-layered Pop Art assemblage that recalls both the cut-and-paste energy of 1950s–60s comic covers and Warhol’s serialised cultural icons. The handcuffed central body, floating smiling head, suited black cat, jar of pickles and scattered pills form a dense semiotic field of power, identity, medication and absurdity. Compositionally it retains the assertive framing and typographic punch of Mucha’s posters, while the Futurist current runs through the mechanical restraint (handcuffs as industrial artefact) and the implied robotic or post-human re-naming (“Mr. P”). The work satirises celebrity, authority and the slippery boundary between person and persona in an age of AI proxies.

“I WANT TO BE A REAL GIRL…” Against a saturated red field that is pure Pop Art, a child in a plush onesie stands with the quiet frontality of a Mucha allegory—serene, iconic, framed by the delicate natural form of a butterfly. The floating textbook Robotics, AI, and Humanity injects the Futurist proposition: the desire for authentic personhood is no longer only human. The work re-stages the Pinocchio myth inside the ethics of synthetic childhood, AI consciousness and reproductive futures in the digital age.

Grace and graphic force coexist; the plea is both tender and political.
