except for a walk out basement, with a detached guest house and a garage for two vehicles. Based on these goals the building is split in three parts: garage close to access road, independent guest house with privacy and main house core.

The south orientation of the building takes advantage of both the view towards the river and the sun. The open space/ living room area sticks out form the core of the house reaching out for the river giving a wider view of the surrounding nature.

The exterior design is inspired by the traditional western cabins with wood panels and pitched roof. This design is molded by the concept of wind and water reshaping the elements: the main house core and guest house are ideally carved out by water and time leaving behind curved geometries.

A strong contrast that tries to work harmoniously between curves and straight angles is created giving the building its own character. This composition of vertical and horizontal textures, recreating the elements such as carved rocks and wood typical of the sorrowing area.
