PROGRAM NOTE: The original idea for HIT 2 was to orchestrate the existing HIT for piano solo. It turned out to be a separate piece, however. Left are some scattered references in form and matter, and my wish to use an individual quality of the performer, to which the piece is dedicated. In the case of first HIT it was something that might be described as “the powerful hit” of the pianist Tomasz Konieczny.

In this case it is something that might be described as “the powerful hit” of the ensemble ALARM WILL SOUND. The piece was commissioned by the 10. SACRUM-PROFANUM Festival and written in 2012.

PERFORMANCE NOTES: The score is written in C. Accidentals are valid within measures; cautionary accidentals can occur in parenthesis.

Quartertone notation: quartertone up, quartertone down. Quartertones should be realized as precisely as possible, however not at the expense of fluency of the music. normal fermata,

The use of Electric Guitar is optional (although recommended).

All the dotted rhythms should be as short and ‘bouncy’ as possible!
